I heard that some guy has been trying to slow boat his way into jove space for the last few years. I don't know how it's going though.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

What CCP isn't telling us is that Jove Space is actually Singularity where they do the testing. Shocked

A few people set their clones there and killed them self but CCP fixed that. Personally I do think there is a way to get to it through a wormhole.

I just cant be arsed doing it

Maybe that is where we will be building our own stargates to.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Yea it is. you just need to get up north and when you are close to Jove space, you need to turn on your microwarpdrive and head in the direction of Jove Space.

Give it about a week.

No. Jove space serves for back story purposes, fiction, testing and organizing events.

When Incursions were introduced there was a player who managed to go through a wormhole and take a screenshot of Sansha fleet in front of a Jove station. The fiction and lore gores much deeper and is a pretty good reading material. It, of course, was only possible because CCP allowed it to be possible as part of a series of Live events that marked the launch of Incursions.

When devs need to test reported bugs and exploits on Tranquility, they sometimes do it in Jove Space without interfering with the rest of the players. Think about sovereignty mechanics bugs that can't be reproduced on test servers (internal or public).

Annual Alliance Tournament is also organized inside Jove Space, so the tournament participants are isolated from the rest of the game but are still on Tranquility.

On a separate note, You can't jump to a system with any ship unless there's something to jump to at the destination system. You need a cyno beacon (covert or not) in order jump anywhere. Having a cyno beacon in Jove space raises a logical question of how that cyno ship got there in the first place - since it didn't have a beacon in order to get there for itself.

Look up Polaris system in Jove space. Station names and descriptions in that system too. Map statistics tool shows there usually 2-3 pilots docked and active there. Hours after Rubicon 1.1 release there were 15 docked and 1 in space in that system. The rest of the Jove space seems empty sadly.

There seems to be only one Jove Construct type station even in Jove space, which belongs to Academy of Aggressive Behaviour in HD3-JK.

To those who try to slowboat there, math is simple, and very frustrationg. Let me be your captain. Say you got your ceptor going 10km/s, even 20km/s, in 10 years you flown a distance of 6307200000 km which is 42 AU, you wouldnt even cross ~120AU wide system like Murini@Kador.

At this point, CCP might as well remove Jove space from the map...

There was also an expedition that used deep safespot technology to reach a point on the starmap corresponding to this space, but this is no longer possible for several reasons. Firstly, no more deep probes. No more deep safespots. No more combined star and system map.

None-the-less, it remains a relic of the past, and a very very interesting insight into what the game looked like back then, and how it played.

besides the point that for all we know eve doesn't work this way. Even if you could get your ship warp fast enough to reach another system in reasonable time, you need to use a stargate or jump drive so the server puts you into another system.

Such silly rumors being posted here. For the right price, I'm sure there are some among us who would be willing to guide you on a tour of that dangerous part of space.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

So in all... EVE has killed the last interesting thing to explore.

Might we see the slowly beginning of EVE dying? All due to EVE's lack of new mindblowing changes which gives all a new drive to keep playing this....

No wonder so many "big" players are moving to Star Citizent. And i dont blame them, its new, its different and it looks good.

So i think ill also move on to Star Citizent
