Hello

So last night I had some extra time on my hands to think, and I thought that it would be cool, as many people have asked to have a larger sized mining ship...

I had thought at first that the hyperion was the Ore based ship. but upon farther research, it was the Talos

What I was thinking would be instead of a strip miner ship > we take this one back to lasers/gas harvesters.

Give is some fun stuff > large ore hold > large drone bay (thinking enough for 5 sentry/heavy drones) 6 mining lasers

Bonuses would be an increase to yield rate, but at the cost of mining range. So would start at like 250m3 T1 lasers at 10 > and with max skills and such. T2 miners would be at 5km but doing 500 m3 per 90s cycle.

CCP can work out the numbers.

Needs to be good enough to do low-null-wh without to much worry. Hulks would still out farm. with Mack and Skiff out farming the longer they mine.

I had more numbers > but 20 + hours of being a wake is killing my thought process!

The only way I can think of to make mining fun is to reduce the abundance of resources and material costs by 90% each. The mining barges can then be rebalanced to give them a more competitive edge in their race to consume valuable minerals.
