What is the correct way to get a Cap out of the large ship assembly array?

I had an issue this morning where I had to empty out 18mil C3 of minerals to assemble a freighter just to move it to the ship maint. array. With 4 slots for manufacturing caps, it seems possible you could get ships "stuck" in the assembly array with no way to get them out..

Any experienced cap manufacturer advice is appreciated.

Like all ship arrays:
1. Assemble the ship in the assembly array.
2. Drag it into a nearby SMA or CSMA.
3. Board the ship from the SMA / CSMA.

You can always anchor another array just for temporary storage, and only online it when needed. It takes 5 seconds to offline / online.
