Shooting POS modules

At an offline POS I understand that shooting the batteries and ECM modules will incap them and I have to destroy the POS before I can finish off the batteries and ECM modules.

However, I have a question. I was just looking at an offline small POS that had a couple of hardeners anchored. I checked corp and had a look at the war history and saw that a couple of months ago Marmite war-decced the POS owners and destroyed a Corporate Hangar, couple of Ammunition Ass'y Arrays and Labs. I copied the info from war history to the ingame notepad so I could see that these were destroyed at the moon I was at with the offline POS.

So what I'm asking is - is it possible to destroy Corp Hangars, Ammo arrays amd labs if the POS is offline and you can legitimately shoot it, without having to do the incap'ing?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, I read the evelopedia articles on POS and anchorable structures but couldn't see anything there to answer my question.

Evidently you did not. And since you were physically at the offline POS you have no excuse for not knowing the answer to this question.

Thanks, I can see now that the answer is in the evelopedia.

Also, something to consider, is that if you destroy an offline POS you are then able to unachor and pos modules and scoop them up. In some modules though, anything in it will be lost, so it is better to destroy it. In the case of guns and ewar, those you can scoop up and sell.
