Unable to select base item for t2 invention

I am making large shield extenders.. Fs9 regolith shield induction will not show up in the dropdown to be used as a base item.. I had the same problem when trying to do warp distrupters and thought it was a fluke with that particular module, but now I am having the same problem with these.

Using base items for other things I haven't had an issue, so what's the deal?

The drop down has a 5 minute (I think) cache, so if you tried inventing, dropped the item in the lab and immediately tried again it won't show. Wait a bit.

Otherwise, are you looking at the right lab, right corp hanger?

There's a waiting limit? hmm ok I guess I will be more patient.. It just seems to me that if everything else in the process goes through fine, and I can pick a decrypter.. it should see the stupid meta item too

Not a waiting limit, a cache time.

The client will check the contents of the lab's hanger (in terms of decryptor and meta items) the first time you click the drop downs and cache that result for (I think it is) 5 minutes. That's why you can sometimes select a meta item that you used the last of in the previous job.

If this is the first invention job you're running in a while, check and make sure you put the meta item in the correct hanger of the correct lab.
