I ran into this last night, my c5 was connected to a C5 with an ESS in it. I scanned down a HS wh, and was like awesome I can get a freighter in to move loot and fuel sweet. Warp the HS and damn if the ESS is sitting on it. So I decided not to risk it and used my ls exit to move stuff. an hour later the c5 guys closed the link

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!

These seem made for anchoring at a poco....

I'm going to be disappointed if CCP altogether removes the ability to deploy an ESS in wormhole space, instead of just reqiuring a minimum distance from a wormhole for deployment. It seems like there are creative uses for these beyond automated entry/exit intelligence: the POCO flytrap being one.

No one.

UM... I guess I have too much isk or real cash then... cause I have done that exact thing with an alt.

I don't see an issue...

Funny how I didn't see any of these super WH-PvPers shed any tears when the various mineral/gas sites were changed so you could warp to them without scanning them down first. Prior to which required probes... which could be seen by the carebear(s)... and was just as much a warning as a spammed message in local imho.

Maybe you should learn a little patience and then maybe you can catch that uber fit PvE ship, and get that massive killmail posted to your killboard.

Honestly, if something this small kills your corps PvP activities maybe you should think about going back to high-sec wardecs.

OR

Maybe you could roll your static looking for pew... which by the way, would totally make this warning system useless... that same system which might make that carebear a bit more careless.

How is this thread still going? and especially with replies like this. This has already been confirmed by a DEV in this thread that it is a bug and is going to be fixed.

The thing is there isnt supposed to be broadcasts in wormhole space. it defies the lore. People Jumping through the gates is what registers them in local. with no gates there's no local. With no local there's no broadcasts

How can I talk in local?

A system wide plain-text broadcast sent from your ships, seen by anyone within the system that picks up the transmission.

Haven't you watched the sci-fi channel?? :P

Also, you shouldn't have gone with the diplomatic response that you made in your first post, you should have gone with the "BURN ESS TO THE GROUND" response that would have pleased all the 'locals'.

Not everyone who lives in wormhole space agrees with Dmitry; as such, the discussion continues.

Also, it's still going because the "bug" had interesting implications for emergent gameplay, and there are various ways of "fixing" it. The most likely fix is to outright prevent the use of ESS in wormhole space, but there are other options available to the devs that would meet the original poster's concern by preserving the basic nature of WH gameplay, while still allowing players to make creative use of the deployable. The simplest would be to require a minimum distance from a WH to deploy.

After listening to the Town Hall with the CSM and CCP, I felt a compulsion to bump this post.

They obviously do not understand WH's as they are currently used. A better understanding would lead to better design changes. I Also get the general impression that the WH associated CSM members have opinions and ideas that involve C5 and C6 wormholes...as though there are no other wormholes.
