So i just surrenderd my corp like an hour after war was declared against me. the timer till fight begins is still going though. what gives?

There is a 24 hour cooldown for the war after the surrender was accepted. Just as there was a 24 hour warm up for the war when it was declared

Wars start when a wardec is made. CONCORD sanctioned fighting begins 24 hours after that.

Example: war end declared one hour after wardec = war ends one hour after CONCORD sanctioned fighting begins [i.e. entire war is 25 hours]

Surrender only ends a war when the other side accepts the terms, and the war ends 24 hours after the accept.

Check your Wars tab to see when the war will end.

Never ever surrender in a war dec. just makes you a nicer target for griefers etc.

If you want to make yourself less of a target. hand your corp over to an alt then drop corp to npc and blueball them. Hell even smack in local when you see them if you want.

Unless you are able to fight back and defend yourselves this is the best way to 'deal' with a dec IMO. Surrendering just gives them the green light to keep deccing you.

Should of just fought them and you wouldn't have to make a post. Looking at the description of your corporation, is it a french speaking corp?
