For ease of management and for the benefit of the bank, I am changing the management shares into investor shares.

This will increase the size of TBANK from 131.5B to 264B. Because the management shares previously attracted a full dividend anyway, this will not reduce the existing investors monthly dividend. Because the shares will be matched with isk introduced into the bank, I am expecting the monthly dividend to improve.

Overall this should be a benefit to the existing investors and a loss for the management. Since I am the management, I can say with authority that I am entirely happy with that.

In other news, The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels corporation has returned to active status and has left the protective embrace of In Tea We Trust for the meaner pastures of their previous alliance, HYDRA RELOADED. This can only end well.

It is with great sorrow that I have to inform TBANK investors that I am now seriously considering closing TBANK.

When I started the FTCY project back in 2009, I had no idea that it would spawn a bank that would still be running 5 years later!

Unfortunately, I now find myself in a very difficult situation. I do not believe there is any way for me to openly discuss the specific details, due to the potential for EULA/TOS violations, but I will simply state that CCP are making it very difficult for me to continue playing the game seriously.

I doubt I'll be quitting completely. Instead I believe I will be completing my planned reduction of accounts and changing my playstyle to limit my exposure to any repeat of recent events. I would have hoped that my long term support of CCP as a company and EVE as a game would have ended in a better way that this, but when CCP customer service so critically fails as it has in my case it is difficult not to take it to heart.

I very much hope that the situation changes and I am able to reconsider this course of action in the near future, but failing that I'm going to start work on shutting down the bank over the next few months. Once everything is liquidated I will be returning all invested funds alongside whatever thankyou bonus I can scrape together.

Thanks for everything!

I've had a few mails and convos asking me to elaborate on my previous post. I don't think there is much I can actually say.

It's not an in-game issue. It's not T2 BPOs or the Crius expansion. I'd like to think that people know me better than that! I don't make a habit of throwing my toys out of the pram in response to game changes. I'm very much of the adapt and overcome school of thought.

No, this is an issue of customer service. I'm trying to deal with it through the official channels but it's proving very difficult and very frustrating due to the attitude of the CCP staff responsible. It's not an issue serious enough to take to internal affairs and I'm choosing not to attribute it to malice. However the customer service experience that I have had over the last week has totally undermined any faith I had or can have for CCP. This is not a situation I ever wanted to be in and it seriously saddens me to find myself in this place.

Really, there is nothing more I can say on the issue without clearly breaking the rules.

I'd like to leave it there and avoid antagonising the moderation team.

CCP's customer service has come close to pushing me out of the door a few times and did a wonderful job of prepping me to be utterly disenchanted with the company when Incarna hit. They seem to have a pretty impressive rate where it comes to alienating the long-standing, content-creating and loyal customers who should be their flag-waving recruiters but who almost universally end up as cynics. Sorry to hear you have been getting the smelly end of the stick and I hope that escalating your issue up the chain might bring you some relief from the robotic parroting that happens with the first few levels of staff.

Supporting a self destructive company is very fatiguing. Particulary after the 8 or so years it has been for me.

However, I am still a big fan of the game, when taken apart from the company that abuses it. I am, of course, a massive retro gaming nerd so any game that looks and feels like it was made in the 80s is just my cup of tea!

The liquidation is progressing well.

It is with great pleasure that I can now say that I am 100% POS free, having shut down TLEAFs massive POS network and unsubbed 10 of the accounts that were required to maintain it. It's been something of a journey getting here, since the decomissioning task was an intimidating one!

Amusingly, the upcomming Crius expansion will allow that massive network to be replaced by a single small tower!

Now I am just waiting for the last outstanding TBANK loans to close before I return all investments. I'm not sure on the exact timeframe for that right now. I may have to take on the loans personally in order to expedite matters.

I swear over the last 3 years all the big MD names have been driven/burned out of MD offerings. It's a terrific shame. Sad to see another one go, I hope it's not been too difficult sorting out whatever nonsense CCP have foisted on you. Good luck in whatever you end up doing on whatever scale it ends up being, Bobby (scam or not Twisted).

I'm pleased to say that CCP has re-examined the situation and found that they were in error. Apologies and compensation has been recieved. It took 18 days, a massive inconvenience and a slew of angry emails to get it sorted but determination won through in the end.

However, I think that the decision to close the bank and re-focus my play on more of what I enjoy and less of what I don't is a sound one. We currently have two sizeable loans out in the wild that I'm disinclined to close early, so the wrap up of TBANK will be dependent on those. If they drag on long enough for me finish up some patch speculation, then I'll take on the loans personally, but we'll see if/when we get to that point.
