Noticed that no Leviathans died in the last big fight and was wondering why it's so. Here's the picture: http://puu.sh/6BmxN.png

What is more likely?
No Leviathans died because:
1) They are so good no-one dares to shoot them?
2) They are so bad no-one cares to shoot them?

Predominantly armour fleets. (Erebus and Avatar).

Note that mostly, the killed ships proportionally were those armour ships or the weakest titan (shield), the Rag. Also note that Leviathan is stronger than the Rag shield wise so would come second on target list. A lot of CFC Rags died. Easier to kill - its the Minmatar capital curse. Leviathans ... how many were there that we cant see 'killed'? Need that stat 1st.

Were there even any on the field? I understand they're primarily used for bridging and boosting due to being shield ships.

There were a bunch of CFC and friends levis there. None died because why would you shoot the ship with the best tank in the entire game?

Dual tanked titans are the thing for 2014 onwards I predict. Who cares about damage mods when you just volley lesser things off the field with doomsday coordination of 50+ ****?

Just slap deadspace dual tank on them to push the threshold number of titans required for the volley. XL guns won't cycle in the relevant fights where you want tank anyway.

(edit: naturally you can swap to damage mods as you please during fight)
(edit2: wonder why this was not the standard procedure for any supercapital slugfest, am I missing something or are titan wielding coalitions bad at fitting?)

It might have something to do with DD only affecting capital ships...

Makes way more sense than my answer, lol.

I wonder if CCP anticipated the relative power of DD's being pumped up by 10% tidi.

Erebus/Avatar are not cap stable if you fill their mids with a shield tank, which is a very large issue with titans. Some pilots carry a shield tank anyways.

Rag/Levi usually carry an armor tank in their CHA, sometimes they don't have time to refit though (they can't fit armor ahead of time without crippling their shield tank)

Why does fitting an armor tank criple their shield tank? Are they using power diags or something?

There is no reason not to fit PDS in a levi, especially since you can get up to 10mil EHP more from them, as well as a lot more juice to work with...An example:
