Hey everyone, watch out for this sad fellow named Dray Cil. I met him in recruitment channel after coming back to EVE from a long break, where I was asking for a corp and he said that if I could answer a few questions I could join his. He invited me to a voice chat channel with alot of people. So we started talking about random stuff, it was pretty good I didn't seem to think of them as bad people.

Later however we started talking about wealth and I said I had 59m. They laughed, and said Dray would double it for me as he had done it "countless of times before to poor people". I am usually very cautious about not getting scammed, and I was it this time again. I tried to switch topic but they kept insisting on how he could make me alot richer in a couple of seconds.

Them seeming as nice guys, Dray seeming as a very rich & friendly person who would let me enter his corp soon (He agreed to letting me in, only had to write an application yet) AND them all being mature men, I trusted them.. Sad Once he had my money he insulted me, let me know I would not join his corp, kept my money and kicked me off voice chat..

I PM'd him why the **** he would do this, and he responded with a 180m bounty... I have no money left, and have a ridiculous bounty on my head, he literally ruined me EVE career..

Please guys, do NOT trust Dray Cil or ANY of his seemingly friends. They are backstabbing mature men who apparently take pleasure in scamming poor people.

That was alll.
/ragemode off.

The bounty doesn't count for squat. Don't worry about that.

I guess you should feel lucky in a way that your loss was relatively small. 59m isn't much in the grand scheme of things.

Just do the tutorial missions and a storyline for some corp and you will have many times the lost amount with hardly any work.

Did you thank the guy for teaching you a valuable lesson that applies both to Eve and to real life? It's good manners to say thank-you.

It was first Dary Cil so I edited it into Dray cil..
And this is a warning to all of you. That guy (atleast sounds like) is an old man who you wouldn't expect to scam, especially not for in their eyes low amounts.

Big smile Welcome back. Will you ever fall for this again? At least it only cost you everything before you had acquired a large quantity of stuff... You'll be fine assuming you are able to pull the lesson out of this one; trust nobody [or at least a very select few].

OK, now I'm lost (literally). Who is the bad guy in this? The guy that scammed the OP? The OP for this whole thing being a scam? Are the OP and the scammer both the same guy? How can I shoot the bad guys if I don't know which is which??

The real question is, who cares?
Unless you have a REALLY long sheet of paper, you won't jot down the name of all the scammers, liar, awoxers, etc, etc, etc, and if you do, they'll just reroll. Just follow the old "if it sounds to good to be true it is in fact a lie" rule and these posts suddenly become irrelevant. I've literally read the OP like 3 seconds ago, and already forgot the name of both the OP and the person he claims is a scammer, because (careface).

It is as if some people here do not realize that the OP and the 'scammer' are the same person.

Just the old goon trick of posting fake recruitment scam tears to create an image/perception/seem cool.
