This^^^^^^^ Are CCP even working on the dx 11 bug? It sure would be nice if my brand new card didn't have to run in 2007 mode.

Omnidirectional tracking links run for only one cycle and cease to work after that untill manually started again,

Right click, turn Auto-Repeat on.
Appears to be due to them being active just since Rubin 1.1.

A patch for (part?) of this issue is expected this week (was expected for yesterday. Until then just imagine you were under DX11. There's no visual difference anyway.

I'm not even going to pretend that I know anything whatsoever about how software works. I can barely program my calculator to tell me how much 40,000 fuel blocks are going to cost. So if this following statement is laughably absurd given the differences in how the games are made, sorry.

I play another game called iRacing. It simulates the physics of a car, a track, aerodynamics, and up to 35 or so other cars at once. Only one track is loaded in the client. Very little statistical data is accumulated and shared in real time, at least compared to eve. I have no idea how their servers are handled. iRacing also updates quite frequently. Every 13 weeks to be exact. Like Eve, there are genuinely massive changes to game play in every patch. Physics, new tracks and cars, GFX updates, sound, SDI, telemetry... and whatever else types of things these companies do.

When iRacing releases a patch, and some tidbit interferes with game play they try to fix it for 1-4 days. If it doesn't get resolved in that time they roll the feature back.

Thinking about that I realized that I have experienced that they will actually, from time to time, roll back a single feature but not the rest of the patch. That's what leads me to believe in Eve's case it may be that it's not possible to do such a thing.

That being said. iRacing has been bug free, completely bug free, totally, 100% bug free for 12 out of every 13 weeks for the 4+ years that I have been a member. (Unless you consider New Tire Model v4 a bug. In which case, I can't honestly argue with you.)

It's quite difficult to roll back a persistent Universe, where things continue to happen even with a load of bugs affecting quite some players. There already were three iterations of bug fixing patches since 1.1 deployment (well, 1.1.3 primarily was for the capital wrecks memorial). Appears like ccp also tries to get things done asap. They even tell us so beforehand.

Why don't you just temporarily do what's communicated as workaround to keep you safe(r) from DX11 related crashes? Yes, it's annoying to downgrade the client to DX9 (even though you won't see any difference) but at least you may not lose any further Gollums.

After Rubicon 1.1.4, there are a bunch of linux/wine users that are experiencing heavy flickering, as reported in this thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&find=unread&t=318611

Stuff that flickers: Character selection screen, HUD, neobar & EVE menu, target frames, brackets, rightclick menu, station background while docked (load station environment turned off)

Stuff that works fine: Login screen, space itself, all windows, system info in top left corner (system info started flickering after disconnect)

I'm using wine 1.6/Kubuntu 13.04/Nvidia GTX 680, but many are reporting the same issues with all kinds of setups. Several can confirm no issues prior to Rubicon 1.1.4. A few have reported not having any issues at all, but it is not clear why yet.

It's not just Linux users. I'm running the client in a Win7 VMWare Player VM, and the latest patch is causing heavy flickering both while using Unity mode and without. Prior to I had been running almost perfect (occasional performance issues due to running on top of a Windows machine). Running DX 11, the VMWare SVGA 3D driver configured for pass thru to an NVidia Quardro K1000M (drivers v9.18.13.745). Twisted

Can you please bring back the nice smoky trails? :)
Also, shield hardeners are no longer glowing(invul field), the shield booster still glow tho.

And yes, the graphics isnt that good anymore, I have all settings on max and the look of everything turned pixy.

This for us missile boats!
Torpedoes, missiles and rockets are all missing smoke trails.
Can this be fixed?

CCP, 2 patches for 1.1 now and still no mention of (or fix for) the missing smoke trails for EVERY missile in the game. What's going on? Please fix our missile smoke trails.

You have "Effects" disabled in your graphics settings, I'll bet. Well, seems CCP decided to give you a choice; either turn effects on and deal with the ****** clouds from deadspace pockets (but keep engine/missile trails, tank effects, etc.) or turn it off and no more ****** clouds (but you lose out on the aforementioned effects).

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Having what seems to be a frame rate issue. EVE worked perfectly for me until the latest patch just downloaded, all of a sudden with the new patch it's 100% unplayable.

It doesn't seem to be an issue with my own hardware as nothing else runs any differently, and seems to be a frame rate thing more than a graphics thing. The graphics settings within EVE don't make any change to game performance (i.e. I can max out the settings and the problem doesn't get worse, and I can minimize them and it doesn't get better - just stays the same). Changing present interval also has no effects.

Playing ATM on an Asus laptop, 1.6 GHz - no fancy gaming rig (however this setup worked fine with no issues until the patch). Windows 8.1 home, 64 bit. Direct X 9.

I am not having the issues with crashing that others are reporting though.

Everything's flickering except windows. Icons are turning up in flickering rows across the top half of my screen. Ship's HUD isn't displaying any module icons. The HUD itself doesn't display HP bars, icons are scattered in the center of the HUD, and the neocom buttons disappear in interesting patterns when I mouse over them. I'm also using a nvidia card, running linux mint 14.

Login screen is flickering in the same fashion. It's also not displaying anyone but the character I last logged in with. EVE is completely unplayable. My sub's ending soon, and if this isn't fixed by then, I won't be renewing it.

Ever since the last patch, I've been having really bad issues with the game skipping. It's like a buffering video; fast, then slow, fast, then slow, fast, then slow - every other second, it's really really annoying.
