The patch notes for Rubicon 1.1.1 did not mention it, but in addition to standing icons showing up in chat lists again, the corp icon now also shows up, it didn't yesterday. Just wanted to mention it Smile

Well, not entirely sure what to say. The Nestor looks terrible and doesn't have the best stats, but it is a niche ship, a niche that I do not intend to enter, so it's fine with me. I recently came back from a long hiatus and I do not understand the issue with AFK cloaking in Nullsec. As far as the ESS goes, I think that is quite frankly, a terrible, shortsighted, idea. Living and ratting in Nullsec is a huge challenge, requiring a lot of skill, effort, concentration, and investment. Seriously, it can get stupidly expensive to live in Nullsec. So now you've decided the best thing to do is cut into their profits? for shame.

Unlike other people I have not noticed any major bugs, aside from the standings in stations, etc, but with the most recent patch I'll have to look around and see what is still broken. I have mixed feelings about nerfing interceptors, but ultimately I suppose it is an alright idea, since before the only ships that could catch up to and shoot an interceptor was another interceptor. Now some other ships at least have a sporting chance.

And all the new deploy-able structures seems like a lazy attempt at appeasing the more casual EVE Player, when in fact the structures are more or less pointless and are already redundant.

Bottom line... I do not think Rubicon was entirely needed, or wanted for that matter. The only worthwhile thing to come from it was the Nestor and the small changes to the info panels when looking at an item. Everything else has been a complete failure. I am sorry Devs, hate to say it, but that's how it is.

Only have one thing to say, crashing my pc when ever i jump though a stargate seems a little concerning...
makes it a little difficult to play the game also quite concerned how so many bugs can escape you and make it's way to the patch.

I like the new information panel changes. Separating the traits from the description does make the latter more manageable.

I like the station graphics, (although I'd still like to see a return of the Quafe Gallente Pleasure Station and similiar cultural representations of the other factions as alternate station backgrounds), and I can see that we're addressing the crashing.

I noticed the change in salvage drone behavior, and the distance limitation is consistant, although sending the guys after a 100km distant wreck was fun. I'm glad the auto-salvaging is fixed.

Love old/new icons in fitting management window, thank you CCP Karkur you are awesome!

Crucifier now looks like a buffed up executioner and other 3 ships based on the same hull. Don't get me wrong new model is pretty cool, but it's silhouette is to similar to 4 ships that are already in the game and have completely different roles.
So not cool CCP art department, not cool, you can do better than what you did.

New Crucifier design is disgusting.

I disagree that it is disgusting, it just looks weird for what it do and too similar to other 4 ships.

For example Apoc hull redesign was spot-on, 'cause it iconic look did not change and it got a needed facelift; same with maller redesign. Crucifier now looks like a combat executioner or a brawly slicer.

Yup, crashed just after I warped into system. Log back in and I freeze straight away. With this happening to so many people I guess it will be a while before my support ticket gets looked at.

I guess no Eve today.

So, first off:
yay, standing is fixed... now I want to raise the question... Why not make a Feature out of a bug?
Apart from the obvious things that needed to be fixed, getting shot at from POSes and other nice stuff, why not let the local "broken"?
As far as I know, CCP was and is searching for a way to fix local as the big and mighty intelligence tool that it currently is and give it a nerf. I'd say, this might be a nice first step. You have to actively go through each of the guys in local, to see if he/she is friend or foe, you have to keep a look at incoming/outgoing and so forth.

Of course, this should probably only apply to local, fix the other chats, maybe even show Alliance + Corp-Members in local, but leaving that out... Why not?
What do you guys think?

Put the tracking camera option back on the D-scanner, I basically only use this when d-scanning to do accurate 5% d-scans, having to access the radial menu that isn't located anywhere near it is just not handy.

Also for the record, i personally hate all the radial menu's they add extra clicks to access something i used to access in one click. There are functions being added to the radial menu for jump bridges and titans that should just as well be added to the selected items window (jump icon on titan JB in selected items window.

Thanks for the patch. hope we will get use to this.

but really why not making a patch that will change cloak.

Something like:

after randome time. more then umm 10 min, the cloak will scream, make some warning noise. then you need to click
it again before it get u out of cloak. like one min from the warning sound to the time its stop working.

RP reason. some small astroied hit the ship or something like that. and in one min from the hit its going to crash and
get you out of cloak if u dont click it again.

The real change should be for cloaked ships not to appear in local. That would certainly solve the afk cloaking problem and would encourage more co-operation and player interaction in one of the dullest grinds in the entire game. As a trade off maybe bounties could be raised a tad or incorporate extra spawns the more pilots are there (like capital escelations in wormholes)

Why do you want to make ratting even more boring?

If you want to make isk with impunity then go to high-sec

Nullbearing for many isn't as easy as you seem to think. There are many times when due to neuts in local, isk is not being made. due to intys and blops, and awoxers and cloaky afkers and neut gangs, Sure, a response is mounted when it's possible but it's not even comparable to 'isk with impunity in high sec'

The idea of allowing the mostly afk cloakys to be hidden in local is a horrible idea, and sounds very one sided, why should someone be able to see/watch/cyno others with them having no idea they were at risk. The risks are high enough already.

How easy do you want to make it? Pvp'ers already have huge advantages hunting the nullbears. I'd rather see no local in null like WH space. It's much less one sided and at least being focused on Dscan is less work than many locals and intel channels. In high sec you can watch local, you have concord, you can use a ship that isn't damage nerfed to shoot ****, you don't have to watch 3 locals and many intel channels, you don't have to deal with the awful pos mechanics, awoxers, cyno intys that can be sat next to you before you can even finish an align out, blops fleets and many other dangers. When all the people in null trying to make a living realise that the risk/reward is actually pretty poor go to high sec who are you going to hunt!!

ESS? Awful.

My torpedoes seem to be missing their smoke trails even though I haven't changed any graphic settings at all.
Is this part of the new "Optimizations and dynamic adjustments for graphics rendering quality" or a bug?

This seems to be happening to my missile too - no smoke trails at all.

And GPU particles setting is active.

Disabling "Effects" (which is how you can turn off those fugly partical clouds) turns these off as well...along with engine trails and shield and armor effects it would seem. Bummer, was really looking forward to this addition until I realized it would be tied to the Effects option (really, CCP, we couldn't just have clouds on its own option?)

After running some experiments with the new ESS deploy-able, I would like some clarification.

Loyalty point gains are 0.03 LP per 1000 ISK bounty, rather than the stated 0.15 LP in the dev blog about them. Is this working as intended?

Well as for Feedback, I do not like the Omnidirectional changes at all.

For the Factional ones for example:

Range: 1.30 > 1.24
Tracking: 1.30 > 1.175

This is a big reduce and overloading them is not an option, since most pvp fights last way longer then 20 sec and missions up to 40 minutes, dominix incursions as long as you are being online °°.

And scripts aren't really helping either since fighting with drones effectively as a solo pilot for instance means heavy managing for ranges countering aggro and so forth, switching them on and off to change scripts for different waves too is really a hassle and not why I would chose drones.

My conclusion is a minus all across the board. The reduces tracking could be part of a drone nerf and if it is I could get it and accept it, the change to an active module I don't mind either, since most drone boats have no use for cap so it won't matter, but the nerf to balance overload and scripts is a mistake and bothers me more then any option it might offer.

For your consideration Ugh

Give the sentinel it's Khanid paint scheme back, it doesn't even list a manufacturer in the description of the ship so it's not as though you'd have to change that too (although you should probably fix the description of all EAF's so it's not just a generalized description, and actually tells you about the specific ship you are flying/looking at.) As it stands now the difference in look between the Sentinel and Crucifier is so subtle it's basically unnoticable. I do like the look of the model however, so good job on that.
