Thanks for the patch. hope we will get use to this.

but really why not making a patch that will change cloak.

Something like:

after randome time. more then umm 10 min, the cloak will scream, make some warning noise. then you need to click
it again before it get u out of cloak. like one min from the warning sound to the time its stop working.

RP reason. some small astroied hit the ship or something like that. and in one min from the hit its going to crash and
get you out of cloak if u dont click it again.

The real change should be for cloaked ships not to appear in local. That would certainly solve the afk cloaking problem and would encourage more co-operation and player interaction in one of the dullest grinds in the entire game. As a trade off maybe bounties could be raised a tad or incorporate extra spawns the more pilots are there (like capital escelations in wormholes)

Why do you want to make ratting even more boring?

If you want to make isk with impunity then go to high-sec

I haven't had salvage drones auto-salvage since just after Rubicon 1.0 launched. I wasn't sure if it was intentional or not, and at the time didn't really care too much. It seemed kind of silly though, to have to tell them to salvage. The worst thing is when they don't auto salvage, you have to select the ones that are not returning with goodies to salvage so that the one with the goodies doesn't 'drop' them and go willy nilly to another wreck. It's like a needlessly complex garbage collection RTS.

Hey guys, thanks for cleaning up the Show Info screen. The attributes tab looks great! So does the market screen! I got so used to the old way things were (searching for info) that this was a pleasant surprise.

Appreciated.

This is highly trivial in the grand scheme of things, but I was hoping for a fix to the 'ghost wallet'. Turning it off is a simple solution, but it's a useful feature that I'd rather have on!

If I ever saw CCP Falcon's character in real life I think I'd politely ask him to kick my ass just so I could brag about it.

To make the salvage drones repeatedly salvage, you have to tell them to salvage BEFORE you lock anything. Unless of course CCP broke this with the new patch.

Breaking drone auto salvage was a bad idea. I can understand it was done because MTU + drones made dedicated salvagers useless, but why not improve them instead of nerfing the drones?

Let's give them time to sort out the issues. It's only a day in 10 years.

ESS; really? How about a corps tax system for mining while we're at it.
Idea Yes: Mining lasers won't activate unless a corps taxation module is anchored on grid. And you can steal from it too.
Sorted.

I'm looking at my Stiletto, which now requires a nano for it to be on par with its Tech1 progenitor, the Slasher, agility-wise. I'm reading the descripton of the Stiletto, and it says the Interceptors have superior maneuverability. I don't get it, andI don't really want to undock my Stilly.
Thank you so much, CCP, your appreciation of player feedback in this area is, you know, appreciated.

The bad;

  1. when tracking cam is on, the square thing that flashes up constantly like a needy child when clicking on almost anything. No I do not want a custom tracking position, I can't think of a situation where I would. Can we turn this off whilst leaving tracking cam on plz, as I use tcam all the time and I wuvs it.

  2. player drone AI changes

  3. ESS

  4. more stuff in radials - they are fiddly & tricky to use at speed. I only use them when I hit them accidentally, although looking for a way to fix 1) i found the delay speed option, so hopefully I wont do that anymore.

The good;

Nothing as yet.

Taking time out of my day to do this:

Rubicon 1.1:
Mobile Scan Inhibitor – Provides a way to hide ships from probe and directional scanning.
The idea is nice, but the way it's been implemented is terrible. In eve, fights happen in 5 places. Big fights only happen in 3 of them (noted by a *).
  1. Belts
  2. Missions/Anoms
  3. * Gates
  4. * Stations/outposts
  5. * POS's
Only one of these requires scanning, and any competent PVPer can d-scan someone down pretty effectively anyway. This module restricts d-scanning and probing, but makes it really easy to find the module -- which only 'cloaks' things in a 30km distance. So you may be hiding the intel of what ships they're in, how many are on field, etc. But that information is usually gathered by cloaked scouts anyway -- making the module pointless.

The distance restrictions for anchoring are terrible too. Not only is it a big "We're over here!" beacon for combat probes, but it can't be placed near a pos -- at least not in high damage firing ranges -- it can't be placed close to a station or stargate (which would be silly anyway), nor can it be placed near wormholes.

Lastly, it's really easy to kill. Warp tornado in at range, instapop, hey look dscan works again. Though by the time the tornado's on field, you probably don't care about d-scan anymore.

The siphon unit
I never got to play with these. They're too fragile, they're difficult to set up, and they only serve a purpose if you put lots and lots around a single pos to stack wastage -- to lower your enemy's revenue. To steal from it, you'd have to worry about the pos guns, and the complications that come along with pos's -- yours or your enemies.

ESS
To be clear, not going to touch that with a 20 foot pole. It's just stupid. First, its a 0.0 only module, so a high/lowsec pirate like me couldn't give a hoot. But for all those in null, it seems kind of silly that you'd reduce their bounties to 80% and force them to use a module that costs 25 mil and doesn't guarantee they make anything back on it - only to potentially get 5% more than they were getting to start with.

Nestor
I approve of the Nestor. It's a very niche ship, but I like the idea, and I think it's well executed. I'd have to fly one to really give good feedback on it, and frankly, I'm not dropping a bil into a logi/drone boat. It would definitely be interesting to see what players do with it.

Interceptor changes
Understandable. And especially so. The previous changes to interceptors had seen lots of fleets running strictly interceptors for a long time up to the patch. This won't change now, but it certainly gives other ships a chance to catch one or two.

Crucifier/Sentinel model change
Maybe it's just me personally, but I hate the new crucifier/sentinel model. The crucifier was Amarr's token asymmetric ship. Now it's symmetric and looks like it's gained a little weight. Because of the new model, it feels slower -- it isn't actually noticeably slower -- and looks less like an EWAR frigate than it did previously. I don't like the design.

Problems that should probably be focused on
Over the past 2 years, market prices on ship hulls have skyrocketed because of changes to minerals, building costs, and access to ISK for players that have been playing for while -- probably some other factors I'm either forgetting or don't know about. CCP, correct me if I'm wrong, has a no hands on policy with directing the market. But changes made through the addition of content -- namely incursions and the drone regions nerf -- has had a significant effect on the market. I'm unaware as to whether these changes were foreseen by your employed economist, or anticipated. But I would assume CCP's economist would have been able to foresee the effects those changes would have on the market. For new players, it's still very difficult to break the 100 mil mark that sets you on your way to becoming an experienced eve player. And with the increase in price of battleship hulls, this issue has only been exacerbated. Implementing new ways of attaining moderate ISK for low SP characters would help newbies a great deal.

POS Mechanics.
There's a lot wrong with POS mechanics. And I'm sure you've heard it all, so I'm just going to point and say "POS, FIX". At least pos-less guns aren't shooting people anymore.

Moon Goo
Stagnant. Shuffle resources or make it more involved -- give it a similar system to PI. This could also cause more conflict out in 0.0, which can solve lots of problems IE the over-propagation of super caps. Though I'm not sure that's a problem that can be fixed anymore short of making supers worthless.

Lowsec
Faction war changes were great, got a lot more people into FW space. What about regular lowsec? You took away our static sites and that's about it.

SOV Grinding
I don't know the specifics, but all I hear are complaints. Again, I'm sure you've heard it all.

That's all for now. I have an exam in 7 hours, so I best get some sleep. I'm concerned about the direction CCP is taking EVE -- perhaps CSM should be more involved in these processes. Then again, I don't feel CSM represents a good range of the EVE Population, given who the representatives are and who they're affiliated with. But that's a story for an
