Based on the feedback in this topic I conclude that the EVE community is still full of asshats and dicks.

PS. Dont put standings back in local. Best feature of the update. It was a mistake when you first put them in instead of just hitting the Goons with a bat for the exploit that forced your hand in making it in the first place.

Spotting hostiles should take work. To hell with all those carebear functions...

Indeed, asshating **** just came with important opinion concerning this patch. You just have to go against all, don't ya? :)

Btw. Recommend living in/raiding wormholes then. With your way of seeing things, we can also scrap hisec and lowsec and all will live happily in null with no local.

That's why cross training is important. I'm Caldari, yet I have more skills in gunnery than missiles. If you want to be an "expert" at anything (including combat), you have to broaden your horizons a little instead of whining about how our race is always picked on. :P

AGREED> I have two Heavy Pulse Laser II on my nighthawk. TRUST me, lasers and missiles are a fantastic Match!!!!

i just wait for the moment when you'll try to warp to your hisec pos in your 10bil freighter just to be blown up because standings don't work.

I miss WH space, but my corp had to close up shop after 3 glorious years of solitude. We kept our portals CLOSED. if we got scanner hits, it wasn't us, and we acted. had no need for local, and never used it. Our Chronic Xenophobic policy to outsiders is how we starved out 4 towers, and stopped 3 attempts to anchor and kept our WH system to ourselves for 3 years. Local Channel is overrated.

Nope. That is on no way what I was saying. I do spend a lot of my life in wormholes though. I used to live in 0.0, but the way to informative local, when the standing icons were added, just made it all kinda... Meh. Not much fun in roaming 0.0 when your entering the system litterally gets broadcast even to the most sleepy ratter/hauler/miner in the system.

Odyssey added the same issue to WH space now that sigs just pops up on your scanner... Meh! That is why I condone something like the ESS. At least that is something meant to promote conflict, even if its not the best mechanic ever, not prevent it.

Not successful? Aww don't be so mean Cry

- Did it completely break your EVE installation so that you have spend hours of researching and downloading, to patch it manually?
- Did all your personal window and overview settings get completely and utterly destroyed?
- Does the game suddenly consume far more RAM memory than it used to do, for no apparent reason?
- Are the sound effects in space suddenly "all-out-base" on the background noise, to the point where you can no longer have any sound enabled?

No!

You merely have to lower your expectations on these releases.

Did people actually run stuff in their local wh without probes out, prior Odyssey? Only difference it made is that you don't have to click the mouse one extra time to check for signatures.

The game is getting more and more a Lord of the Rings adventure..... There are rules and there is the exception, and then there is something to counter the exception and with next patch there will be a quiz to pass.

If you are in space decloaked then they can find you with probes, but... but... there is this one exception that you do this and that and you deploy a structure that does this and that and booooom, like cloaked. But then there is another exception to counter the first exception...

You cannot warp once you are inside a bubble... but but... there are these new ships, t3 that they do. And then there are these other interceptors that they do, or you are a bs with a mjd or....... well ok. You CAN warp, unless you do something wrong.

And on and on.

Finally, I wanted to laugh a little with:

ISSUE - Salvage Drones Won't salvage

Salaving Drones do not work

Sceanario

My wrecks in space

Drop Salvage drones - right click - Salvage

Basically they won't salvage unless you target something.

The ESS deployable is not paying out LP correctly:

That looks to be paying about .03 per 1000 isk, not .15 (My math could be wrong but I don't believe so)

can you put your "top guys" on fixing the real bugs in this game?

for example how people can pull ships out of X-Large SMA's without pos password if they are in the same corp and the sma is set to "corp" permission. this has been a known bug since the X-Large SMA's were first allowed without SOV.... so quite a while.

I know CCP has always put wormholers on the back burner. do you DEV's even play this game in WH space?

thanks for the jump drive and dscan deployables.......meh

Let me get the right. You set your XL SMA to allow corp members to take from it, and are now complaining that your corpies are doing exactly that?

the new camera tool has an issue where the auto camera always centers to the display center point and ignores the camera offset setting in the options

so if you have dual displays (say 2880x900 total) the camera centers on the 1440x450 mark and not the offset position (around 720x450 where my ship is centered on the primary display)

this used to work correctly and by no means is a serious issue, but please don't back burner it forever in the mad rush to fix standings and the slew of other bugs this patch created

Can we get a confirmed fix on the MTU aggro? ie: people attack your MTU with a rookie ship to get drones to agro them and trigger the engagement timer for fleet members as if you accepted a duel? I was under the impression rubi 1.1 would fix this exploit but can not find anything in the notes.
