I'm not sure that number is correct. I was watching the PL twitch feed and a few minutes ago someone from PL (Nick Fuzzeh?) came on mic to say the actual titan count was around 60, despite the feed displaying over 100. Possily that count displayed onthe PL feed is titans AND supers combined? I didn't hear all his comments so I didn't hear if he explained the count numbers displaying on his feed.

correct numbers are 40-50ish for pl/n3 and somewhere around 20-25 for CFC/russians/etc

Terribly sorry. I felt I had to include the ladies, as well. I presume there to be a few in the midst of that furball.

If this is so awesome, I would suggest that every marketing employee at CCP jump on the phone to every contact they have at every online gaming site, and beg them to link this twitch TV feed to their front pages.

I am on that twitch feed now.
Wow, does it ever look entertaining.
I am sure this picture of multi-coloured squares, and a series of ship names flashing every 3 or 4 seconds is, as one of your sycophants put it, "an amazing fight".

Looks like I hit a nerve :smug:. I don't think CCP contacts any of these papers either, a reporter looks and goes "holy **** that's amazing that can happen in a video game," then does a report on it. I don't see highsec inspiring any of those.

Compared to "all of those ships undocking and then warping with no risk or explosions ever occurring because of super magic goku police," it is an amazing event.

Please......while a reporter may do a piece on how much stuff was blown up, there is ZERO chance they will discuss how exciting it was.

There is a "drop of pitch" experiment going on in Australia right now that is more interesting than this circle-jerk, between squalling brats spoiled by too much coddling by CCP.

I would like to point out to you that this is the EVE Online forums and since you do not seem to like EVE please go somewhere else, where your stench wont effect the rest of the world.

Was watching a stream that had the tally of kills, but the streamer went mental.

What's the actual tally?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

The PL twitch feed is now displaying over 1300 titan kills on all sides. are there even that many titans in the entire game? A quick look at the dotlan stats for b-r5rb shows just under 1300 kills total in the last 24 hours so I'd say the PL twitch feed is now showing all kills even though it says titans.

The PL Twitch feed has been a funny troll that's been running strong for about six hours now.

If it does we're gonna hear about this "gamers destroying expensive stuff while people starve" thing. Sure, it's not actual money and we all know that but we are dealing with a population that sees a pocket pistol knock someone 10' in the air or buy a machine gun over the counter (not possible since 1934) and end up thinking that's for real. So let's not all go "oooh" and "aaaahh" over the ISK destroyed in this battle lest we get the "populist whip" across our backs.

This community has given out hundreds of thousands to various drive through the Plex for "Cause" Thats significant in and of itself.

yes that's true and commendable.

But I know how the media works.

You see the plex drive was individual gamers (non state actors) and CCP (a non state actor) running a charity for some people who were in a disaster zone.

This got very little press coverage. The media does not like non-state actors. Journalists go to the same press parties as politicians and their staffers, and if they don't "tow the line" of the state, they don't get front row to the press releases and they don't stay in the "right" circles.

So, non-state actors taking it upon themselves to raise money for charity gets page 20 in the newspaper and maybe a little one paragraph blurb here and there. To the media, only the State, the high exalted state, their state, the one that pats them on the back, is capable of helping people.

So, if there is some ridiculously tall number of $$-converted from ISK/PLEX, expect it to be on cable news, complete with stock footage of some neckbeards - expect none of them shown to be female, and expect one color too. Gotta keep that narrative going.

Between tubrug and fuzz's twitches they had 10,000+ people watching the battle, including non players, and both of them had continuous chat running, including regular explanations of things to non players. Very upbeat, party, hyped sort of a feeling for the most part, imo regardless of press or whatever, a few thousand non-players saw giant ships exploding and stopped what they were doing to watch. lag'n all.

Fuzz was repping primaries, so it made for pretty useful viewing.
