The back end is a cluster, but the softwarwe is old and cranky. The front end is a mid-power laptop, cause I'm only yanking the controls from here, not driving the engines. Corporate standard software suite, due to be replaced soon, but not just yet. Very old.

I Argue the entire legitimacy of this fight. Since before Joining the CFC I was told we had no caps and even if we did they would never get used. I believe this is all one mass hallucination. Because if it is Legit -ALOT- of friends owe me some major iskies.

Arcane stuff. There is no school that teaches what we do. I came to it by way of Nuclear Reactors and Systems Administration. Which, oddly enough ,makes me perfect for the job.

I do so love shiny server clusters, though... Lol
(and that's why this fight has me so impressed with CCP and their ingenuity)

The gameplay during these fights isn't amazing. The pure amount of players is. And that you can convert ISK to Real Money thanks to the ability to buy and sell PLEX for it. That is stuff that makes for interesting headlines. You want to show the streams to show people that it's boring? ***** please. Ask anybody and they'll tell you "Isn't eve that boring exel program?" WHat's interesting for people not playing eve is only the meta, because in their opinion the game is boring anyways.

I would of thought the Deduction would be simple on that one. They all put money on the fact CFC would -NEVER- Drop caps in fights.

The strategy and planning are more important to what makes it interesting. There's a HUGE amount of organization that leads to fights like this - Boring, reptitive tasks that seem unimportant... Until one of those 'unimportant' tasks gets missed, and the whole ediface comes a part in an orgy of detruction.

It's like watching folks climb cliffs - The climbers are there for the love of what they do, but the folks watching? Most of them are secretly hoping to see someone fall.

Me? I take a slighly more academic angle at it - I love watching the results of a really well-executed plan - Especially when it comes into contact with the unexpected. I'm not as interested in the fall as I am in how the climber has planned how to *deal* with the fall - And how well that plan works out.

I hope the $100K plus was destroyed thing (converting ISK loss to $$ through PLEX costs) does not become the foremost headline.

If it does we're gonna hear about this "gamers destroying expensive stuff while people starve" thing. Sure, it's not actual money and we all know that but we are dealing with a population that sees a pocket pistol knock someone 10' in the air or buy a machine gun over the counter (not possible since 1934) and end up thinking that's for real. So let's not all go "oooh" and "aaaahh" over the ISK destroyed in this battle lest we get the "populist whip" across our backs.
