Nice Work!

I like to see function over form; however improving form that informs and increases effectiveness are the little things and you have corralled and whipped a lot into shape. I'm not crazy about paint jobs better looking asteroids. I want you folks at CCP to use a lot of action verbs in the patch notes and Dev blogs. I like it when I see "it does this better" or "this will eliminate two of five steps to reach the same goal". I am a sad Panda when notes clogged with words like "pretty or eye candy". It seems this time the way you have changed how things look also changes how they work. Again Nice Work, Very Nice Work!

The opportunity to see if this has been addressed has not come up in a long time and it may have been changed.

A while back, a corp member took an "eve break" for health reasons. He is fine now. He had a number of corp buy/sell orders he had initiated and no one could change or cancel them as the market changed, not even the CEO. We bought the sell orders with little loss, but buying the items to sell to the buy orders was pretty expensive by the time we realized we were stuck. All of us are good friends in RL and were long before Eve was a good idea on a cocktail napkin so we are all directors and fully checked for every corp role. But we were stuck. Did we just miss something and suffer from mass stupidity or is this a real problem?

Again, Thanks!

speaking of little things.

- Can we have the radial menu work on our ship when hide all brackets are enabled. (cause i cant use the BM feature unless i enable the brackets.. I live in WH so BM is v important)

- When hide all brackets are enabled make it hide the red crosses on what we have targeted.. I ike seeing ships not hidden by red crosses... if I choose to hide some ui let it stay hidden !

Hei!

I already expressed this sentiment when you were interacting in Help-chat the other day, but it probably went unnoticed in that torrent of text anyway... Smile

"Little Things" is a testament to usability and product quality, more than any new ship could be. The resources going into this great project are very much appreciated! Please continue the good work.

yay, 2 more smilies! i'm on a roll here!

Thank you for all the awesome changes. I just noticed one issue however. I believe you accidentally removed the "insure ship" option from the right click menu in the insurance panel for corporate ships . For a second I thought that it was no longer possible to insure corp ships but the "insure" button on the bottom still works. The "Insure ship" option by right clicking a corp ship in the insurance window however is gone. If you're truly trying to help us "enablers" could we have this back please?

Thank you

But you didn't notice that the Myrmidon has an unsightly useless spare turret mount on its hull - that must be one of the 'big' things that are too hard to fix??

I love UI cleanup. Good work. Some suggestions for the next pass on the Ship Attributes window:

- Currently we have Structure, Armor, and then Shield, in that order. That is the exact opposite of how ship HP is displayed everywhere else in the game. Shield, Armor, Structure would be more consistent.

- Currently we have Structure Hitpoints, Armor Hitpoints, and then Shield Capacity. Shield Hitpoints would be more consistent and avoid confusion with Capacitor.

- Capacity could be renamed Cargohold to avoid confusion with Capacitor.

- Inertia Modifier and Mass can be grouped with Max Velocity and Ship Warp Speed, and the group name can be Navigation instead of Propulsion. This is more consistent with the fitting window.

- Drones can get their own section. Then we only have two orphans at the top, Volume and Cargohold. Much less clutter up there.

RHAVAS gets credit?!

Why even have a forum if it's never read?

I had/posted this exact idea 6 months prior.

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3131673#post3131673

Sorry about that... I don't remember seeing this exact thread, but I think I had seen something like this suggested before.
Like I said, it was kind of just perfect timing Smile to bring up this idea.
There are so many great suggestions and I do write a lot of them down on my long wishlist, but it's just hard to get to them all.

Either way, great idea Big smile

Works perfectly now! Thanks so much for fixing it! CCP Karkur is the best!

P.S. Are you solely responsible for little things or is there a team dedicated to it?

There is no team dedicated to Little things, and it's not really my "job", as in I'm mostly working on "features" with my team and do these little things in my "20% time", freetime or dead time between bigger projects.
I've mostly worked on my own on implementing these changes, and then of course getting help from other people when it comes to testing. However, I am not the only one who is making changes like that, as CCP Punkturis has also done a bunch (and has some lined up for you).

Dear CCP karkur,

thank you for all the little things in this game Cool

Is it possible to ask for another ?

I would like to see how much my ship fitting costs, before I fly into space.

At the moment we can see I believe a market average for modules etc when they or in a container or in the station item tab.

Could this market average for modules/rigs/ammo/drones be cumulated in one figure in the fittings window box plus the ship it self ?

Can we get some tweaks to the mobile tractor unit? Right now it tractors any wrecks/cans in range. I'd like to be able to set it to tractor just my squad's cans. Or just my corp's cans. Or just my cans.

Thanks for all the good work!
