I can't stop a wry smile when I think of all the kvetching that goes on about this going wrong and that going wrong when time and again, and just now in this magnificent Dev blog, we are treated to a whole pallet of refinement and beauty that will make our lives so much easier.

I don't know if this will be seen or not, if I could ask 1 thing of CCP Karkur it would be: would it be at all possible get an inventory view that only shows where all my ships are and maybe show where in space they are distributed on the map. It is already possible to see where inventory is stacked. I have stuff all over the place.

I would not want this for all my inventory items, by all means let's keep it practical, but it would be great if I could get a view of where my ships are in space.

I believe you can do something like
"category:ship" in the Search in the Asset window to only show your ships
see details about the search here

The absence of icons in my saved fits never really seemed like an issue here, but I guess I can see how all the 2s and blues make it instantly apparent when a fit is valuable.

So long as an inexact system spelling can still yield results in the route info panel, I'm sure this new search box will be a big help. It will eliminate the need to type out, spell correctly, autolink, right-click and set destination to see how distant a system is. Pretty cool!

The new shield/armor resist graphics are so fitting-window-like that it's not that much of a leap to envision all 'show info' windows being incorporated into (resizable) fitting windows next with lore text displayed plainly across the bottom. In the fitting window, you can view/compare all of these stats side by side, slots, rigs, pg, and cpu are all represented visually, even the ship view is more dynamic; whereas in the show info window it's split onto different tabs and these stats are linear. Then the only thing missing would be the ability to plan out and save future fits by dragging modules you don't own into a test fit to compare stats. An in-game version of EFT, basically.

And, I'm not sure if it's just the fact that she got me all excited by typing out the word 'industry,' that these quality of life little changes are always great, or if it's the tribble-esque abundance of smilies, but CCP Karkur is fast-becoming my favorite dev, you guys!!!!

I like the changes, especially the route search field.
I just wonder, can we get search field for station guests tab, and live in type filter for docked pilots.
That would be cool :)

some of these things in here have been pet peeves for alot of my eve career. :D you guys are awesome for thinking about this stuff! This might be a bit bigger project but could you make it so that it shows drone stats better in the fitting window? such as optimal range and such? Also industry changes in the future....i officially am in love with you

Love the new fitting window, thanks for the small click reduction on the contracts, yay to cancelling from the market window (that goes for both buy and sell, right?)

That is a known bug for like years....click on guests tab in station interface and you should be able to trade 100% of the time.

All of the changes sound excellent except for one. The show info window having a bar of damage types. As I am someone that is not very visually orientated, I prefer text over icons. I actually have to hover over most icons to get the text to know what they are, at least until muscle memory kicks in and I automatically click on the third icon from the left to warp and jump through a stargate etc.

Sorry but this change is a backwards step.
(this is probably the reason why I hate the radial menu too)

I love the cancel. I have wanted that (and been puzzled by its absence) since my second month playing.

I have a related peeve that I'll mention since it's loosely related:

I want to be able to right click on any line in the market interface and copy that price to the clipboard. This would make setting prices much, much easier. (You then can paste it into a sell or buy order, or price change.)
