CEVE, Also known as the Serenity server. Is the Chinese equivalent of the Tranquility server.

Often unknown to the players outside of China, Players that have never played CEVE usually has some misconceptions of CEVE.

I personally have played Tranquility and Serentiy for more then 2 years each. So to debunk these myths, here are the similarities and differences compared to Tranquility.


So, What's the similarity?
1. Same Game Engine. Same Mechanics. Same Universe. Same Game.(No, there are no extra gates......)
2. Same Economy System, Same Trade Hubs, Same Manufacturing.
3.Same Freedom of play (ie. Scams, Griefing, Player Operated Projects.....)
4.Same Tactics (Yes, Lots of Domis.......)
5.Same Battlegrounds (Jita, EC-P8R, BWF-ZZ,HED-GP......)
6.Killboards


So, What's the difference?
1. Different Players, Different Alliances, Different Gaming Culture.(Less Trolls)
2.Cheap Commodity Prices( PLEX 3,900,000,000 isk, BC3 160,000,000 - 188,000,000 isk)
3.Cheaper PLEX (10USD Per PLEX)
4.Less players (8,000 on average, Major Alliance fights is usually 1000 vs 1000)
5.Less T2 BPO's (its often not used in manufacturing, and usually kept idle in the hands of rich players as souvenirs)
6.Less Skill in PVP on average (Though some pirates and major alliances have very skilled pilots)
7.Rich carebares(I've seen way too many officer fit ratters..... But if you kill them they will hate you forever, even provoke alliance scale action against you.....)
8.Less Roaming gangs (You won't see much roaming gangs other then some hot spots.)
9.More Blobs (If you do roam into another alliance's sov, you will surely be greeted with a hot drop of 3 times your force)
10.Less wormhole activity (I was able to dominate the class 6 wormholes with only 40 people..)
11.More Mining BOTS(Tiancity has been cracking down on them, but you know Chinese gold farmers...)
12.CHEAP TITANS (Though hard to obtain, I got mine for only 700USD)
13. One Patch less then the current Tranquility server (ie. Tranquility:Rubicon CEVE:Odyssey 1.1)

Also another reason I'm posting this is because of a major null-sec event, resulting in the fall of one major alliance and the winning alliance turning on each other. Thus creating in a ton of unclaimed systems and chaos in null-sec structure. My wormhole alliance is looking to make a push in claiming some null-sec systems. But with a excess of accounts and not enough hands to control them all, I'm looking to create a English speaking corp.

50Chinese Yuan = Around 8.27 USD

Actually, looking at the conversion rate, it's about half the price. Hmm, not bad...

I don't think chinese EVE appreciates your RMT any more than ours does

I'm sorry for not making my self clear, it was not RMTing. I brought 70 plexes and gave the isk to the manufacturer. Which is within the rules of the game. I just said 700USD so you don't have to convert the 270,000,000,000 isk price in terms of PLEX prices.

Once again: Post + Signature == Comedy.

Hah, I totally forgot about that... The interface is pretty much the same once you installed the translation script.
The server itself is mainly Chinese speaking players with a few Russians here and there. There used to be a bunch of English speaking mates that I roamed with but they eventually died out due to lack of PLEX acquisition methods.

I'm a professional translator.... So I fare pretty well.... They don't even know I'm Canadian.....
