As it says if i was to tip cans, and get shot at by a battleship, is there a smaller choice of ship to fight said battleship, and actually win?

Buy Hookbill.

Orbit at 20ish. (Set to 17.5 cause the ship will swing out)

Kill drones 1st.

Once drones are dead - Make coffee.

If they are still alive once you have your coffee ( they might have a stable active tank. Usually only a mission runners use a stable tank)

Call friends with Neuts on their ships.

Go grab a cookie to have with your coffee.

Get killmail.

just do not try that agaisnt a tempest... the only thing tempest does good is killing small flies. Because of the 2 heavy neuts.

T1 battleship is imho most isk efficient pvp ship. ;-). You can taylor tactics according to the fit and type of battleship (ecm, damp, sig/speed tank, range) but best bet would be another battleship with recon or logi support.

it is hard to say how to fight against battleship generally, there is so many different fitting variations etc that advices are not perfect on every situation.

so what i am looking for is a smaller ship, or just a ship period, that a carebear might hit if i tip his cans while he is doin a L4. T1 battleship with ecm?

The thing is, most carebears have the bigger is better mentality, most would not engage you if you are in a BS.

You want to be in a ship that makes them think they can win and/or makes you look like you don't know what you are doing.

I have seen incursus used effectively as well as Vexor. You just need something that can counter their drones and survive long enough until you do. Neutral Logi is commonly used when killing missioners.

Exeguror , neuts in high 2 cap boosters 1 repper and alot of cap recharging mods and ofc ab and scram.

Just neut him out and let the npc's do all the work.

Or

Use a sentinel , same deal only smaller faster and won't die if for some reason the npc's agro you instead.

Just because i am blond does not make me stoopid !

Blaster and active rep-fit Enyo or Ishkur. Get in a very close orbit, kill the drones, and pound away.

My uninformed opinion would to be to get a fast ship and take his drones out before scrambling him and orbiting at max velocity and <5km just to annoy him and see if he activates his self destruct.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Use a skiff with a scram, a neut in its highs, and an active shield tank. Orbit close 1000m and use your drones to kil his ones thirst.

Meh... you'll need heavy neut, and most likely more than one to effectivily neut a BS.
A Skiff cant even fit a medium neut. So tell me, what are those 9GJ/sec neuted by a small neut going to do to a BS.

My choice would probably be something like a Harpy or Enyo and throw a tracking disruptor in a med slot with tracking speed script. Fit with AB, tank to specific rat type (so for Guristas the missioner will have kinetic most likely, so throw in a kinetic hardener). Even if they've created a stable tank or have webs (which is likely if you go against some boats with horrid tracking against frigs like NApoc) your AB will keep you going and worse case you can sit there and just annoy the **** out of him until your buddies show to guarantee your sustainability with reps. Or have someone show up with an Orca and try to do some shenanigans with it.

Dual-Rep Incursus or Ishkur if you're feeling froggy. Incursus is more tempting to the 'bears since not T2. Enjoy!

I have seen a fleet of ecm blaster ibis' s used to great effect for this purpose. Alternatively if it is a buffer Megatharon a simple thereon can do the job. Just being cap boosters.
