Yep, I'll have room in the que for it next month. An inspirational ship to hunt FW mission runners into Gallente space.

So should I stay or should I go?

Honestly only you can answer this question. Your loss as a 6 day old character is trivial, even if it represents everything you have owned in the game to day. So are you willing to give up on a game because it presents you with setbacks instead of being a constant fountain of electronic candy?

Believe me, the more you play, the greater the losses become. What are you going to do when you lose a 7 billion isk ship and a 3 billion isk set of implants, items you've spent months of game time slaving towards and years of real time skilling towards - all due to a mis-click, a bad autopilot setting or a moment's hesitation?

Believe me, you currently have it easy. EVE does present you with loss time and again. That's precisely why most of us like it here. The loss sets your gains and successes into sharp relief. The more you play, the more shiny things you are going to lose.

So ask yourself - if you can't deal with loss at this stage, is it worth going on? Maybe EVE is not the game for you. Or if you bite the bullet, accept that loss is a part of life, and push through a little, you will realize that material things can be replaced, that your experience with the game will let you return from any loss much quicker than before, and that at the end of the day, EVE online was never about arriving at a goal of owning the magical shiny ship or the magical ISK number in the wallet. EVE is about the journey, the experiences you have on the way, and the people you meet.

The most annoying part of losing the Cormorant is that I lost it because I fell asleep.

When I woke up to find it was gone, I was frustrated with myself so much I couldn't get back to sleep. But I was too tired to log back in and get back on the horse.

Happens all the time. Sometimes you get unlucky and your ship blows up. You probably understand that in addition to falling asleep, the bigger error perhaps was not taking an extra 60 seconds to drop off your valuable cargo before placing your ship at risk in a mission. Even if its a bitter pill to swallow, you've learned something from the experience. Even if the rewards and modules are gone, you're still a better pilot for having run the tutorial missions.

Never forget.
