One reason would be if they had bought the corporation as a pre-made and don't have the standings (or their corp rather doesn't have the standings) to anchor a POS. This is not a reason to make any change in the game mechanics, I'm just pointing it out as a genuine reason why they might no want to take it down.

The Shadow Cartel guy above pretty much sums up my opinion, you have to make it hard for people, gankers go for the easy looking targets first, at least I did when I did that stuff :)

1) I take it you did nothing in the first 24hrs to protect your investment?
2) you need to learn how to live with a POS in a high sec world. You clearly aren't doing it right.

Well it's better to take it down yourself than have WT's do it.

If anything it's almost unfair how you can completely avoid war in Eve.

Looks like someone just wanted your moon. I may be wrong, you're obviously an emotional type and as such may be prone to embarrassing outbursts, so the dec may have been due to you making yourself a target.

Either way, my advice would be to harden up and learn from the experience. The POS loss was completely unnecessary.

Less flouncing, more fighting.

Sometimes you hit the bar and sometimes the bar hits you...
