Long story short: Make it more like Chrome

Here's some specifics.

  • A browser history that has a time stamp for each site you have visited (so you can open that site you were browsing a bit ago)
  • Bookmarks that are stored on the server, and synchronize between clients. In the case of conflicts between client and server, bookmarks are always added, and never removed.
  • A list of recent closed tabs.
  • Middle-mouse clicking (aka mouse wheel click) will open a link in a new tab.
  • Wheel clicking on a tab's tab (UI piece at the top of the browser) will close the tab.
  • "Paste and go" option for the address bar's right click
  • Ability to designate a default search engine, and have non-URI strings entered into the address bar treated as searches (ie: "most uberest ship" in the address bar becomes a search for "most uberest ship" on my default search engine).
  • Click and drag reordering of tabs.
  • HTML5 video support. Yeah, flash ain't gonna happen, but this is at least throwing us a bone - and waaaay useful for the miners.

I mean, if Internet Explorer can do the above......

well, atleast CCP made a browser worse than Microsoft.. That's an achievement.

I agree to the above: +1 from me.

Isn't EVE's browser an early, stripped down version of Chrome?

Also +1 for the suggested changes and a lot more.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

That's why I listed HTML 5 video, instead of flash - since we are probably never going to get flash support to protect us from the scammers.
