Just read his Twitter to confirm if OP was trolling or not, but seems legit. Been through similar **** myself and I hope he recovers soon.
For those lazy enough to type a few words into google, he was just in the hospital to get his appendix removed. Probably one of the most common surgeries, nothing serious (with today's medicine) but a real ***** to go through.
Spoiler alert, it went well and he's now recovering.

Straight-forward surgery, very nearly out-patient at this point. Ouchy, but not so scary.
