i remember when T3 cruisers were introduced that many players uploaded videos of them, and i actually saw many good videos like triple rep proteus or HML tengus. But now i don't see any video like that except for some tengu videos showing up some times.

What happened ? are T3's not good any more for solo pvp ?

I love this Miker, I saw this a while ago and completely fell in love with the fit although I made a few adjustments. It really is some of the best fun I have had in all my years playing. o7

The reason you don't see many Tech 3 cruiser videos is because a solo/small gang Tech 3 brings all the blobs to the yard. For the Proteus and Legion the most viable combat fits are brawlers. So basically you are committing a 500 mil-1 bil ISK ship to the field (this usually ends badly).

Personally, I've spent a heap of time flying 100MN AB Tengu's, both HML and HAM. The recent HML nerf pretty much killed the 100MN AB HML Tengu as a viable PVP ship (dat damage application O.o). I've recorded a few Tengu fights, but the majority of them are pretty boring to watch. A Tengu fight usually comes down to one of three outcomes:

1. You engage a few guys, kill one and then the rest of his mates bail.

2. Easy ganks vs skilless scrubs.

3. You get hard countered and die (trust me, losing multiple Tengu's in month really adds up).

All in all, I think Tech 3 cruisers are more of a gang focused ship and unfortunately the Proteus is probably the worst one for solo and small gang combat. But give a Proteus a proper support fleet and they are ******* beasts :)
