Dust 514 and market integration

Right now Dust has no meaningful anything market connection with EVE. To be honest, I'm not sure that it ever will. The only thing I know of is a player run EVE - Dust ISK transfer service (not endorsing, I just know about it.)

How do you envision an integrated market? What effects would it have on EVE? on Dust? How would it work? Could it work at all? Will it even be attempted?

I don't think we will ever see any real integration.

CCP said during the build up that it was all about linking two games into one universe. Pretty much all the pre launch hype was based around the idea we would be linked.

In the recent minutes Seagull (or might have been Unifex) said they were focused on making a great FPS, linking was a 'nice to have extra'

We know they planned for a long time to link as they didn't bother implementing a working player market/trade system in Dust (clearly they were going to use the Eve one) now though they are building a Dust only market. So if they are putting the effort into that it is clear there wont be a working trading link for years to come. By then Dust will be dead.

In which key-note we saw the picture of Dr. Enyo with the 2 circles of the games and the connections between them with the Eve Central Bank?

This post filled me with despair.

I remember watching that presentation and being really excited about the whole integration thing. As an industrialist it seemed like we were in for exciting times ahead. Sadly I haven't seen any sign/hint that CCP have any plans to integrate the markets for quite a long time. All I have seen points to them not integrating.

This is how I would link.

1, Each race has a Dust headquarters in Low Sec FW area.
2, Dust players can only buy from this station
3, NPC sell orders are up in that station for Dust players to buy from (say a suit currently costs 80k isk, it costs 80k isk from the sell order
4, Blueprints released in Eve to make suit cost per suit about 40k (this allows for fluctuations in eve material costs
4.1 The sell orders are just there to make sure there will always be a supply to dust players, If a million new players came Eve wouldn't be able to keep up with demand until CCP changed something. Also stops evil eve players of bumping price to 80m a suit.
5, Eve HS player make stuff but sell in Jita/closest HS station (too scared of Low Sec to go in)
6, Brave haulers make good income hauling goods in to sell to Dust players
7, Opposition faction are attracted to station to catch haulers
8, Local faction defend station to keep it clear
9, Much PvP happens.

This is going to pump isk into Eve. CCP would need to invent a new isk sink to soak this isk out of game. Paying Dust players to achieve certain objectives?

As a DUST player I haven't really seen any sign that they have plans to integrate. It's sad because, long story short, DUST was the tipping point for me getting into EVE.

I know DUST is a new game, and it's CCP's first FPS, but they have the template there with ten years experience with EVE. All they need is all four basic racial variants of suits, vehicles, and weapons. Those are the basics, the things that they already know work. Instead, DUST launched with only four suits (and is still missing about half of them.)

After CCP gets all the basic content taken care of they can work balancing them, but also new systems like an integrated market, industry, PvE, etc.
