Why i am NOT leaving eve

So, the recent strings of people saying they are leaving eve is a tad annoying. And as most if not everyone really cares nothing for the people going, I figured i'll make a BS thread, that no one will care about, because I can.

So after 10 years of eve, with a single break for a year (wife had a kid, go me) I am official saying.. yea I ain;t going anywhere. I have died more times then I can count, lost my fav ship after a month (bye bye nyx) Ran two failed alliances (but learned) been almost everywhere in eve. And the only thing that holds me here.. there really is no other game like eve, and running around killing things with sticks and leveling up sucks.

So thank you CCP, and I will gladly keep giving you my money.

I've had this character for like... 5 years now? The funny thing is, I've... probably only actually played, honestly for like two months of that time. I just forget to unsub...

Not that I hate EVE. It's this odd relationship of I like the concept, like some of the things... don't like the rest... and yet I can't seem to quit it.

Oh eve has had its up and downs, somethings I laughed at (the boot.ini error, I made my own pc so did not even notice) somethigns annoyed me but really did nto concern me at that time (T20 incident), I think I was only really pissed off at ccp once, and that was because I could not get on long enough to fuel a pos due to the patch they just did going wonky.

Now some things they made I hated (PoS' before fuel blocks, god that was all I did for like 2 years was log in and shut up crying PoS') Some I loved (mining barge) Some I have been waititng 9 years for (GIVE ME COMET MINING DANG IT!) lol but all in all its been a blast, and seriously I could only stand an hour of WoW, so here I am.

But you have taken breaks before? I mean at some points in those 10 years you just said "I got to do something else for a bit". Maybe watch all 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1? maybe fool around with another game as your primary? Eve is just too much at some times.

I have taken two breaks in 10 years. 1 was for a month to get married, the second was after my son. Before that I played eve 4-10 hours a day, depending on job, school, and much my wife (then gf) would let me before i got that 'get off you damn game now' stare, nearly every day. I am the definition of an addict, but meh. What the hell did I do for 10 hours? Mostly talking in corp, alliance, I did that for 3 years, recruited for 8, mined off and on for 4, ran pos; for 6. Broke blockades in the Kari pipe when I owned that part of providence for a year, yea, its fun. I played wow for an hour, hated it, guild wars for 10 min (hated it) star trek online for an hour (hated it) conan I saw but had no desire to try. *shrugs*

Should do a player buyout of EVE Online and then the shareholders CSM would vote for the next expansions. I bet expansions would be awesome.

This thread, as i said in the op, is a BS thread, that no one will care about because i can make one.

The point is, i thought it would be kinda nice to have a thread where someone was not whininy about how they are leaving, and everyone else not caring.

So i figured i'd say i'm not leaving, so everyone can not care about that too =D
