LoL, yea, I wouldn't be surprised about a gank fleet on the 22nd either. Worth it as part of their education though :)

Yes, we anticipate a gank. Part of the "Dealing with Others" session will cover such things!

Sadly I won't be able to participate in miner suppression activities at this event's time.

For the love of all that is good, improve the godawful industry UI before inflicting this on new players.1

Suggestion... Many people, myself included, are not able to attend the sessions for whatever reason. What would be nice is if each of these sessions were recorded including the 'lesson' itself so that at another time the rest of us could simply run the same session on our own and follow along at our own pace. Between the written tutorial part and any video watched at the same time it is being executed, it would give many more people the chance to learn this stuff as well.

Which reminds me of one other suggestion... You have these nice 'TV' screens in the habitats. Why not set up actual functional channels that people can watch? I.E. tutorials on how to do things? EVE's Most Wanted or perhaps Gilligan's Planet! :-)

Seriously, there are times where I would love to IN Game be able to pull up a walk through video lesson that I can just watch and read without worry about everything going on around me or in my ship.. and those TV screens would be a perfect use allowing people to just concentrate on what they are watching... not to mention being able to easily repeat or pause when they want.

I think I'll attend (as an experienced manufacturer) if for nothing else than to hear a newbie say "you mean I've got to do this many clicks over and hit 0 return over again to queue up 10 jobs?".

I'm looking forward to attending just to hear someone ask "Why would I get into ship building since so many hulls are selling below manufacture cost?"

I mean ... its been 1.5 years since the Mining Barge/Exhumer rebalance, and the Procurer market is still hosed. 6 months after the BattleCruiser rebalance, and most of them are still selling below cost.

Are the rest of the ship markets in such poor shape that they completely discourage any new young Industrialist from starting out in the field?

As someone with maxed mining and boosting i can help them avoid going down that path.

I can share things like.

1. You can grind anomalies for minerals rather than mine and get 75 mill an hour in bounties extra. plus faction loot and escalations.

2. The end game ship Rorqual has been broken ever since it came out. Some genius put the mining boost on the industrial core so you have to sit at a POS to boost your fleet negating all the other bonuses the ship has. I got my Rorq back when they first came out and it has never ever been in a belt.

Lets do this so others don't have to stare at millions of wasted SP like we have to!!
