Improved Interface Idea - Drag module to target

I was just doing a little mining and it occurred to me to see if I could drag one of my mining lasers from my HUD to the targetted asteroid. Alas this did not work.

But... it would certainly be nice to be able to do that. The more ways to accomplish something the better.

As it stands I generally have to move my cursor to the asteroid that I have previously targetted to make it the active target, and then move my cursor back down to my HUD to click on the appropriate mining laser. Since I'm moving my cursor up there to begin with, why not just drag the mining laser I want to use along with it and drop it on the targetted asteroid?

This of course could work for a variety of targets and modules, for instance weapons to targetted ships.

only if you can crank up the lazy even more, and drag weapon modules to overview, where it starts locking and fires/activates when it has locked.

When I act impulsively, I want to have as little time as possible to rethink my actions before I get an effect.

Get some Eve. Make it yours.

Sure why not.

Although as you point out, that could be quite dangerous for the hasty.

(Or those who sometimes use a wireless mouse which lets go of your held button inexplicably from time-to-time).

Can you not just click the rock and press F1?
