[GMVA] Regarding Guristas Incursion in Federation Space

The Villore Accords strongly disagrees with the assessment provided by the so-called Black Eagles on this incident. Colonel Thoun Gaterau's leadership in this department is strongly suspect and has been questioned several times before. Why should we trust his judgement in this particular case, particularly in light of the bumbling activities behind Operation Highlander?

We call upon the Federation Senate to launch a full inquiry of this incident.

Msr. Soter,

While your first post had some solid, but not crazy 'blowing things out of proportion' momentum, you managed to take a solid turn for the 'crazy conspiracy theorist' department.

Congratulations.

I believe Soter was already declared a traitor by the Eagles after leaking sensitive documents pertaining Navy movements 'In the interest of Capsuleers' so why you would expect sense out of him I do not know.

Not to leap to Soter's defence, but the Eagles are hardly a shining beacon of legality and moral integrity. Not that the Eagles declaring him a traitor brings him any closer to what I would consider my side of the trenches our nations have dug for us, but it can hardly be seen as the greatest slight to his validity when an illegal borderline fascist entity sees fit to stamp on laws both Federal and regional to pursue an undisclosed agenda. That is, an agenda poorly blanketed under a Federation flag, upon which Roden stands hand on heart and bloody of boot.

There's plenty of recrimination and bile to fire at Soter and his cult of celebrity, but the Eagles? They're a point in his favour in my opinion.

Being labeled a conspiracy theorist by a Angel Cartel operative. *bursts into laughter*.

Dear lord, if the people in school could hear about this.

I originally blew the whistle on FIO Black Eagles operations because there were legitimate concerns about the intentions of their activities. Those concerns have still not been alleviated.

Another case in point; the Bombardment in the Evaulon system of a city by Serpentis Capsuleer-operated Moros-class dreadnaughts. The Black Eagles had several operatives summarily charged with incompetence and/or collusion and removed. But no meaningful reform of the Federal defense and intelligence apparatus has been made since that. And the perpetrators of the bombardment, the Serpentis Corporation, remain outside of our grasp.

Is it such lunacy to demand justice for atrocities? I do not care for my 'cult of personality' or any other self interest that people rant and rave that I possess. I care for the families and citizens of the Federation who have seemingly been abandoned by the leadership that claims to have their best interests at heart.

The Villore Accords will continue it's own independent investigation. We will release any further information we uncover.

That is all.

I see FIO takes us for fools.

The Guristas are not so stupid to expect to catch an interceptor with battle ships. Even a rank noob fresh out of the academy knows this.

The only chance they would have to catch an interceptor with such large ships would be to cut it off and kill it with smart bombs or drones. Even if you can web it, it's still going to leave warp disruption range.

Now, what was the loadout of those Guristas ships? Is there enough evidence to support this "theory" that they were trying to catch an interceptor?

Finally, note the press release does not say it was an interceptor, but was "close" to it in signature.

I've yet to see an overview tell me something is "close" to being what it is.

So, what's really going on here?

I think something is fishy about that "interceptor" and it has something to do with a strange blueprint I found in a covert data facility. Possibly a new kind of implant that has an effect on warp signatures. I could do little more than blankly stare at it - it's advanced stuff.

Either this was a genuine but foolish attempt at catching an interceptor with battle ships, or those ships were cover for an operation to move some special cargo. I simply don't believe that anybody would be so dumb to attempt catching an interceptor with battle ships, so I think the latter is the truth. Some significant cargo made it to its destination, and with that much sacrifice and cost in the diversionary operation, it will have an impact that we probably won't be happy with.

The loadout of the Gurista ships does not indicate any special equipment to catch small, fast ships. What if they functioned as escort or diversion for this interceptor? Those who are curious about their loadout can check the battlereport that's linked in the newsreport I published about it.

Considering how truly abuzz with activity the senate was after Federation space was violently invaded by its own allies, and the many (oh so many) inquiries that followed, I frankly wouldn't get my hopes up too high of those esteemed men and women taking notice of a few pirates getting frisky outside their usual stomping grounds.
