API Kill Log not Returning Status Code

I have no idea if this is where this goes, but I am working on an API wrapper and I discovered when KillLog (https://api.eveonline.com/char/KillLog.xml.aspx) returns error code 119 ("Kill log exhausted..."), it does not return an HTTP status Code. I am using Python and this causes me to get a BadStatusLine exception. I am sure I can write a work around for this, but I want to bring it to the devs attention so they can fix it.
