Request: Have some L4 mission rats fit warp scramblers

Given how much ISK it vomits into the game economy through rat bounties and rewards, missioning has become too low-risk since the advent of the microjumpdrive. The MJD provides a way for players to escape from the warp disruptors rats use.

Help carebears get over their fear of losing ships by making them lose ships when they are really, really careless. Give some rats a way to counteract the MJD, such as the humble warp scram.

...Since the MJD?

Missions weren't a risk when I was running them years ago. Anyone who loses a ship in a level four mission is either asleep, badly fit, or very, very stupid.

If you don't mission reading a guide every step of the way, missions are actually a risk. It's only the guides that make them risk free. So get the guide sites to take them down and watch how many more people die.

i think there are better ways to make them harder. Much more fun ways too. but, not many people like their main income source being touched by anyone so it's hard to get positive ideas through the community.

Scrams also negate microwarpdrives, or perhaps you didn't realize that? Also, the only ships that run warp disruptors at present are frigates - and since those are pretty much mission priorities to eliminate (not for warp disruptors, but stasis webs) - I'm not all sure what would change.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

So?

That could change. There are tech 2 type NPC's in missions, add web/disrupt/scram ability to them.

Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. Hybrid charges, Projectile ammo, Missiles, Drones, Ships, Need'em? We have'em, at affordable prices. Pop in at our Ammo Shop in sunny Alentene.

I think that would not make missions harder in any way. It would just make them more annoying.
Another guy suggested to add more randomness to missions. That way they would get harder in an interessting way.

When (if) CCP create random mission generator - issue will be solved.

*if*

Personally, I don't expect CCP to do anything related to missions. They seem quite content with leaving missions in their terrible state of boredom.

I wonder if anyone does level 4 mining missions since the nerf to getting mostly useless minerals? I bet no statistics were reviewed on that wonderful change. Or maybe they were, and their desire was to stop everyone from doing mining missions.

Did you read the CSM minutes? They know they need to be improved, but they know they do nto have time and manpower to do it CORRECTLY now.

this doesn't make any sense.

People won't lose ships with that, as those who do lose ships have to be dumb and an MJD wouldn't save them at all.

My previous suggestion regarding this, no doubt amongst many others...but if we make enough suggestions on how to improve missions someone somewhere will come up with something that sticks...

you're talking about it likes its a thing that could be done, much less something that should be done.

Also, if you're dumb enough to lose a ship in a level 4 without a MJD, you're definitely dumb enough to lose one WITH a mjd. This is not a very good way of "helping carebears get over their fear of losing ships."

2 of my most expesive EVE loses are from lvl4 missions when I was playing drunk Big smile Two times I warped to mission pocket and went to kitchen for somethnig to eat. So kids:

1) Don't drink and fly.
2) Have your hardeners and active reps on at all times (yes, cap stability is for lazy players Big smile)
3) Don't play DOTA and the same time as you are doing missions.

L4 mining missions are not worth it for anything. The volumes are too high and some of the rats force you to warp out and come back with a combat ship. You're better off farming L3s.

Ah is this another meta gaming " Punish anyone who isn't me" thread?

If you don't like them, Don't do them.

To O P

Theres lots of ways to improve missions, causing pain to others helps no one, even though it might be fun for you.

It hardly would lead to "a million ravens called out in pain and were silenced"

Oh and your initial premise is wrong too.

There is one EvE. Many people. Many lifestyles. WE are EvE
