Ultimately I am dissapointed in the implementation they chose, but it doesn't take much creative thinking to see how this can be used. I would have rather seen it hide itself, and be a "camouflage net" rather than a "smokecreen".

I would have much rather seen it hide itself from D scan, but allow itself, and the ships to be combat probed. D scan is almost as bad as local as far as free intel goes, So i think they missed a perfect chance to make living in WH space closer to the dangerous unknown we all miss.
