I didn't read all the fine print in the wall of text, but it sounds like you're taking issue with blobs in wormholes while spear-heading a wormhole blob.

I run a small gang and we have no end to the fun and destruction in wormholes. And we have no overhead and don't have to kiss any rings either.

Perhaps you should scale down a bit and let the troglodytes run their wormhole bear factories.

you guys seem like fun. +1 op for pointing out if you give a little corp room to grow instead of murdering it in its cradle, it will give you a better fight later when you choke its life out. Also the pilots you might recruit from its corpse might be worth a dam to you, being a little more seasoned. Point lost on most of the community, but hey credit for trying!

You wormholers remind me of Japanese whale farmers! Its not our fault they havent discovered how to evade sonar yet!

That's also my point.

Having spent most of my wormhole life in tiny, small-gang oriented PVP corps, I really have a soft place in my heart for small wormhole corps. They are the future of wormhole space--if you look at wormhole space history, we always end up resetting into small pvp groups. Large groups just don't flourish forever out here, unless you know how to create content as well as balance your power to blob--mainly because, after you get known to drop 80 t3s in a fight, no one will fight you.

I hardly spearhead the wormhole blob. I grew End-of-Line to live in a C5/C5, which means around 20-ish online per main time zone daily. We've exceeded our goals in some places, and in a few others we are still working on them.

Do we blob? Sometimes, but if you'll read my post, I mentioned how sometimes you inevitably do it. However, honestly, doing what SKY Fighters does and doing honor fights, or breaking up into small groups and just go roaming, is a good way to counter the blob mentality.

End-of-Line does not always PVP with 20 plus guys. I'd say our average PVP group is around 5-10, unless its a planned op (of which we've done quite a few lately--those have been fleets designed for null sec or low, so they've been bigger, because you have to number larger numbers out there).

My end goal is to have a very active corp full of independent pilots all creating content, who routinely go out in small wolf-packs, and if a larger fight is brewing, calls the rest of us. I see us engaging in a large number of different types of PVP in and around wormhole space, and I really hope that I can successfully engineer the corp in a way that evades the 'always blob' mentality.

Sorry Rall, I don't agree with you on this one.

Having joined Sky Fighters when it was a humble 30 man corp in Talocan United (2 years or so ago) and helping us get to where we are now I can see both sides of the coin.

WH space will not change, and neither will human nature of generally wanting the odds in their favor before they engage or commit to fights.

The mega alliances/corps & blue doughnuts form because people don't want to lose their fortresses when they get invaded.

At the end of the day I'm not going to tell guys in my fleet to stay at home and that they can't get in on the action as that would be counterproductive to our activity. (and encourage them to be off playing other games) Unless of course people want to arrange something (which we have done in the past with alot of groups and we have always upheld our side of the bargain)

To the smaller corps, I really do encourage you to grow, make contacts with some other groups and get involved. It will help you in the long run provide content for your members and help drive your recruitment with your members telling others what fun they're having.

Regards.
