Storytime! I want to get an After-Action Report(AAR) thread going, FHC style. The idea is to write up a report on fights you have out in space, big or small, and post 'em here for the rest of us to enjoy. I'd prefer to keep this exclusively AAR, not meta-gaming. If people from the other side of the fight want to comment and tell their side of the story great, but I would love for this not to turn into a trolling or s**t-posting thread after every AAR(that might be too much to ask for but whatever). Initially this can be open to everyone to post your AAR's in, but if it's successful we may have to break it up to a cal/gal thread, a min/amaar thread, a null-sec thread, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is unfortunately not ok to post eve-kill links or zkillboard links to this forum, so please refrain from doing so in your AAR (unless a mod can confirm I'm mistaken then link away).

I'll go first.

We (Gallente) got reports of a squid armor BC/Cruiser fleet leaving Innia up towards the Eha/Vlil pipe. Chief Aussie Larkness rage formed an armor BC/Cruiser fleet of our own to meet them in glorious space combat. In a record time of 30 minutes we were sort of formed up in 3 separate systems as scouts said it looked like squids were heading back to Innia through the Aivonen pipe. Guys in Nenn moved to meet up to the fleet in Vlil which then moved to pick up people in Eha, at which point we moved to cut off the Caldari at the Pav/innia gate.

We were a tad late as the Squids had already made their way into Innia and subsequently moved to the Martoh gate. We warped to the Kinnaka gate in Innia to see what their next move would be and size up their numbers. We had 4 logi to their 3, 2 Ewar to their 4, and about 20 dps each with the squids sporting more BC's while we had more faction cruisers and a lost proteus(this is where kb links would be nice).

A game of gate jumping ensued as both sides didn't want to engage the others without their logi at range. We jumped Kinnaka then they warped martoh to go around us then we jumping back into Innia then they warped back at a pounce....you get the point. Eventually we both ended up in Kinakka with us at martoh at 0 and them on Innia at roughly 0, but aligning to us. We decided to warp to them as blue balls was beginning to set in and ended up warping exactly when they did. Fortunately, Deen Wispa, who had been scouting them in his coward Inty, took the initiative and followed them in warp and after watching their logi warp to 100 4 or 5 times previously warped at 100 as well and landed right in the midst of them and got a point on a logi. He immediately called to warp to him on comms which we happily obliged and the fight ensued.

Squids looked to be a bit disjointed as a few seemed to have warped out right when we landed, but came back shortly after(might have been Ewar repositioning couldn't tell). We quickly downed their logi and started working on dps. Reps were not holding with all the dps on the field and 3 or 4 minutes after their logi hit the dust ours followed. We continued burning through ships in what became a dps race and eventually everything left on field was either dead or friendly. Oh and then there was something about a 55 gallon barrel of no scent water based lube.

Rough final tally according to zkillboard:
Gallente - 11 ships lost - 528 mil isk
Caldari - 32 ships lost - 1.6 bil isk

GF Caldari.

Let the games begin.

Imagine my frustration warping into this thread expecting ancillary armor rep discussion Shocked Good report but TBH it's very TL;DRish for me since it's a pretty typical story of a fleet fight: "we chased them around for a while then someone finally got point on something and the rest of the fleet arrived on field to F1 like mad"

Perhaps the thread can be called, "Battles From Blackrise" ?

Actually, they never/rarely warped to 100km of the outgate that many times. I was just acting on a hunch.

On a side note, I wrote a BR for my corp forum but mostly emphasizing the importance of good inty piloting and using this fight as a prime example. I preach the importance of good inty piloting all the time to my corpmates and younger pilots. Very very hard to find good inty pilots regardless if it's FW or non FW PVP. Thanks for the acknowledgement from Gavin and opponents. I used all your quotes in my corp BR :)))

Wow right over my head on the thread title haha. Changed that. Yea I'm sure some stories will be pretty standard and get repetitive after a while if they aren't already for those of us that have playing for some time. I know I still love reading stuff like this especially if I was a part of it. When I was new battle reports like these and the chance of one day participating in them are what kept me interested in the game. If the thread gets activity the denizens of W&T will have spoken. Natural selection and all that.

I for one would like to hear about the 4 caldari carriers that were downed the other day. They were deployed in combat in long held caldari tradition with no triage modules. PvE and structure repping carriers engaging in direct PvP is always fairly entertaining.

The two Chimmies lost in Hasmijala?
http://justk.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=21209920

I was not there but second hand info was passed onto me. Basically, one of the Chimera pilots decided to warp to a large plex. He gets tackled by the Gallente cruiser gang. The other Chimera warps to the plex as well. For the next 30 minutes, both Chimmies are repping each other while the cruiser gang tries to bump the carrier pilots away from each other. During this time, pilots were asking for more heavy guns to come help the Gallente fleet. Qcats brought some BS and finally killed off the fleet.

No one understood why those Chimmy pilots decided to risk their carriers to begin with.

A couple BRs over the weekend from, sexier fleet doctrines...

JustK and Qcats decided to put their derptrons and LOL gaming addiction aside on a Saturday night and put together a Shield HAC gang consisting of HML Cerbs and Shield Ishtars with recon support.

SHAC fleet vs Armor T3
http://justk.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=21240228

We go roaming a few jumps and find an Outlaw Horizon armor T3 gang pursuing us. We get set up on the other side waiting for them to jump into us. They jump and start burning towards us as we kite them. We're switching targets for the first few minutes trying to kill them but they had too much logi. The only reason we didn't totally disengage was our Lach pilots get tackled and we're trying to get tackle off of him by applying webs. And out of nowhere, another Gallente cruiser gang jumps in and decides to suicide into them. This becomes a window of opportunity for us and between the DPS of our SHAC gang and the suicide armor cruiser gang, we're able to kill three HAM legions which apparently were 100mn AB fit with remote sensor damps??? The HAM Legions got too aggressive in pursuing us which meant they were not in range of their logi.

And then out of nowhere, a cyno goes up and more Armor T3 gangs comes into the fight. We weren't sure if this was going to be a three way or if they were reinforcements for Outlaw Horizon. Scrolling through the list of names, I noticed it was Ninja Unicorns and immediately knew they were blue to OH. They do this all the time where Outlaw will roam around and then Unicorns will sit on a bridge waiting for Outlaw to bait something out. With that much logi on the field, there was no way we could break them so we disengage and move on.

But it was a great unexpected skirmish between two organized gangs. It was a good tradeoff for both sides. We kill three Legions and a Zealot while they kill our Lach and Cerberus pilot

SHAC Fleet vs Shield BS gang
http://justk.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=21241058

As we're regrouping and figuring out where to roam next, I get an email notification from corp that one of our POCOs is getting bashed a few systems out. We send out a scout over to investigate. Apparently Templis Dragonaors/Denovo/CALSF or whatever their new alliance name is now is bashing our POCO with a Shield BS gang without logi support?!? I laughed because it had been like this all week with both sides RFing each others structures looking to get a decent fight that doesn't involve frigs/dessies. Both sides had been in mostly frigs/dessies ever since TEST had redeployed to FW so with them leaving, both sides had been looking for decent fleet fights again.

We get positioned two jumps out only to find out that their BS gang decides to warp off to the outgate. Not sure if they got word of our fleet? Our inty pilots jump into the system and warp to the outgate as well despite knowing it was a regional gate. Thank God for CCP's changes to the warp speed of inties because they land as soon as the BS land.

Both sides jump through with our SHAC gang right behind them salivating at the potential to kill so many BS! Our inties point stuff up while the BS decides to burn back to the gate waiting for us to make a mistake. The Ishtars jump into them which forces the BS to jump back into ours Cerbs and recon fleet waiting on the other side. I was sure they would try to make a run for it but to their credit, they stayed for the fight. The fight kicks off and continues for 5 minutes.

Apparently they decide to go for the isk war by going for our recon pilots. We're just trying to kill as much as we can. A few of them warp off and we hold the field.

All in all, a productive roam and it was nice to get out of frig/dessie mode and fight in sexier stuff. Who knew that two corps can get some decent gang fights if they put their LOL gaming addiction and frigates aside for a couple hours?

High Five. Yeah! C'est La Eve .

Good stuff. That's what I want to see. I understand there will probably be lulls in this thread as people who frequent these forums either aren't getting good fights or just don't have the motivation to write them up frequenty, but I'd love for this to be a thing. So keep 'em coming guys.

I belong to a top-tier DUST Corp SVER True Bloods (EWWWW I know, I know).

But it has made for some interesting Low-sec encounters, hes one of my very first.. Vs DARK LEGION

Its was a periless night in Molden Heath.. our ground troops where anxiousluy waiting for Orbital spport. due to the opposing forces breaching our already pillaged planet, with not only there ground forces but the superior Orbital division as well. There was a chill in the vacuum of space.. and eerie quite.. Not for long.

The enemy troops were about to deploy, our troops were ready for the fight of their lives.. and they were still scared of what crazy weapons the enemy team would be bringing to the skies to aid their campaign.

It was down to me.. me alone.. a lone Destroyer in the mass expanse of nothing, with the weight of the hopes and dreams of my men yearning for me to cull the enemy from the skies above.

I hop around the system scanning away.. nothing.. not a soul.. BUT +1?!?

I use my powers of deduction (god bless you show info) and realise this is the pilot who has been causing my men pain and misery!

'NOT ON MY WATCH' I loudly declare into coms!

I warp to the district and connect, taking my time to make sure we have our free initial strike ready and waiting for when the warbarges release the troops. Its deadly that frist strike, able to instantly wipe millions of ISK off the field from the get-go.

Then he arrives... a fellow catalyst?! NOT TODAY, I will gladly take another Gallente pilots life in the name of my men! Hes mineee!!!

I lock him and get the point on, and begin tearing away with my blasters, I can tell he's panicking;

'OH WHY TONIGHT' I can hear the screams through the vacuum (probably the same way i can hear my gun sounds : ) ).

Before I know it he’s dead... Once I hear the 'PEWBOOM' a sweet calm sweeps through my gooey self, I hear something?!

The muffled screams of my men!!

'VERVZ WHERE THE *REDACTED* IS OUR *REDACTED* STRIKE!!!?!?!!!'

I swap the ammo as fast as i can whilst screaming at my minions to either fit themselves in the ammo magazine or ammo, what ever is quickest!!!

Bombs away!!! X3

My strikes are deadly... the squad leader on the ground who called them in took no prisoners!! My men, their men, what ever it took to secure that planet.. I felt bad for the FF.. I told myself its just the toll of War..

We managed to secure the district that night... I was praised as the god us EVE pilots should be, it was the first time My mercs truly appreciated having EVE Pilots.

Sooo last night's Kinakka brawl: As we were about to dock, we get word there was a fleet matching our size right behind us so we stuck around. bout 4-5 logi on each side, roughly equal #'s, looked really good. Mostly armor cruisers with some ewar/BC's mixed in on each side.

So we started maneuvering for good position for the next 10 minutes. Lots of cross jumping, lots of doing shortwarps, lots and lots of posturing between me and the gallente FC. Finally as both sides start to get real impatient...I get a warpin on a rupture that was left behind on a fleetwarp, to our own optimals. They come back, however...

...One thing that was going on the whole time was an inty (Deen Wispa) who was looking for their own stragglers, particularly our logis. Basically what happened was::

We are both at gates aligned to each other, very short distance from each other.

As we catch the rup, i set up at optimals in-line behind the gate we just came from.

Enemy FC turns around, using Deen as a warpin, and gets everyone right on top of our logi from behind.

I was all set for a fleet to come on top of us. We were aligned, and ready to warp. What i WASNT ready for was deen's inty getting the quality warpin he did. This allowed 'em to come to our logi at point-blank range while we were 30-40km behind. Frantically I fleetwarp us to a tac off the gate and bounce back. By the time we start calling primaries, we're down half our logi. Brawl ensues, **** dies on both sides 'cause thankfully the gallente logi also warped to 0, right on top of us.

But it was too late--the early damage to our logi was done and we bailed after about primaring 7-8 cruisers down. GF GG, Deen gets game ball.

Kills: 7-8 cruisers including an oneiros
Losses, 15+ BC and down including a damnation.

A little background on the 2 carriers in Hasmijala. It was one guy multi-boxing. He warped the first carrier into the large plex to help the Hookbill. When the first carrier got pointed by a brave inty pilot, he brought the second Chimera out to save the first. That is when our cruiser gang showed up. We bumped them away from each other, but still needed some deeps. Luckily for us NC. was roaming in an Inty gang. I learned that night that Inties can pack some deeps. They showed up, helped us finish off the 1st Chimera that was already in armor, and then we proceeded to kill off the second one. Field was looted and goodbyes were said to NC.

False advertising on the title. This is not in the prose of Dr. Seuss.

I'm terrible at writing but I give it a shot in some rhyming pattern:

Hashashin Crytell carebearing in Haras
They have bombers and condors and griffins and harpies.
I try to interrupt them with an ares to cause a faux pas.
My spurs fail me and i am jammed, but safe from the blarpies.

I get upset and cry in local they said.
I go back to Sahtogas to grab a smartbombing battleship.
My hope is i can activate smartbombs and make them all dead.
That didn't work and they got me into structure along with making a Seinfeld quip.

They disappeared in a flash, probably to farm more.
So I went on my merry way hoping to get some p versus p.
An announcement was made that Hashashin Crytell was next door!
I hopped in a vexor which made me merry and full of glee.

I warped to their location alone where they were waiting.
They had bombers and condors and griffins and harpies.
Their condor failed to alt tab back from his website of online dating.
So my drones painted his ass like a you paint a drunk passed out clown with sharpies.

Suddenly the bombers and condors and griffins and harpies got upset.
I doubt it was because of their shitfit 1 mil isk condor loss.
They were mad and upset and said I was terrible and they would kill me they bet.
but I burned off while being permajammed because I didn't want to die to the carebear boss.

A slicer! A slicer! A slicer had me pointed.
And their griffin had me jammed, but I was at a safe distance.
A quick unjam and slingshot nearly caused the slicer to get disjointed!
Another jam, god damnit ******* spurs you're supposed to help my jam resistance.

Oh well, they all warped and I survive.
they cried and said I had a cruiser which was unfair against 10 frigates.
i mocked them and made a Seinfeld quip until to my exit gate I arrived.
I couldn't believe that a 1 mil isk shitfit condor would unplug the tear spigot.

Let's try some humble pie in limmerick form:

So we fought over an Innia poco
I tried Archons and dreads under a Jammo.
But with fleets in disguise,
And bloodlust in my eyes,
I thought triage could handle split deeps...D'OH!

"We volunteer you to FC"
Why do THIS did I have to agree?
I'm a roamer by heart,
Carriers? Dreads? Brain fart!
This is something better left to N3 (or CFC, or anything else that rhymes!)

But the urge to escalate was too high,
And I paid for it with my friends' buy,
Stick to roaming, I will
'Cause despite all the thrill,
cap losses 'cause of me make me sigh.

One day Caldari will have nice things,
and the glory that capitals bring,
but now's not that time,
we have drones to assign,
Fighters simply cost too much damn bling.

Tight fleet comps! Yay! NTbbnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb cat

Most times it's best to stand down,
and leave all your ships laying around,
but it's hard to say no,
when everyone wants to go
to places where ships burn all around.
