Hello, I just resubbed and the launcher does not start the game. I tried clearing cache and reinstalling, but neither helped. Any advice?

What happens? Does the launcher start up? Does it say anything or give any error messages?

What version is your launcher? I believe the latest TQ version is 2.1.655130, if you don't have it you could get it from http://content.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_1_655130.exe .

Otherwise you could try locating the logs from the launcher/cache folder and paste them into www.pastebin.com and post here so that I can take a look at it.

No error message, it just goes from "Launch" to "Launching" back to "Launch". Starting the exe file seperate is not a possibility since i am on Steam.

Please check if you have any logfiles in the launcher cache folder. It should be under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Eve Online\launcher\cache (or similar) and called something like "launcher.2014.01.06.log".

Once you find it please copy it's contents and paste them into www.pastebin.com and send me the link and I will take a look and see if I can't help you :)

Hmm.. according to these logs, a client process does start up. Are you able to see any Exefile.exe processes in the process list?

Your logs indicate the same... A client process does appear to start up. Can you please check "processes" in Task Manager and see if there is an "exefile.exe" there?

Once i hit "play" it does start the CCP exefile, I read "Launching" but it shuts itself down again and then goes back to "Play".

I set my system to auto install any updates, did not fix it for me.

Have you tried running with DirectX 9 instead of DirectX 11?

To further clarify, launching the exefile.exe from the Steam folder itself does not cause any problems, but I have no way to login because I am on Steam. Launching the Launcher via Steam causes the exefile to shut itself down after a few seconds.

Can you provide us with a logserver file from the EVE client?

Looking at the crashdump, then the problem is that Steam and Bitdefender don“t like each other very much and thus cause a crash when Steam tries to start its overlay.
