Maybe something for the people that are below a certain poverty line. Maybe those Christmas boys could work on a soup kitchen. ANybody know what I mean?

I feel you, as a slave born into a society that benefits collectively from the efforts of my ancestors and present generation, I'd hope those efforts would not go unrewarded by the slave owners who control the supply of artificial commodities units called money, personally I don't believe the current generation of elderly slaves are being rewarded enough for helping the masters to achieve such amazing productivity figures during their lifetimes. But maybe that's just me being old fashioned.

The time the OP took to post this, he could have executed some day trades and been living the easy PLEX life.

And there lies the rub. The taxes on a Plex transaction almost take up all the profit, and the amount of capital, by the time you figure ROI there nothing really there. And I much appreciate the reminder of the wonders of POD but Clones aint getting any cheaper. I suppose you young whipper snappers have nothing in your heads of value but its not the same for everybody though I hear that as you grow old, Many lose their implants.

I suppose the free electric reapers are ok but we really need something safer. I can't defend myself in them, can't make a quick getaway and certainly can't make much money in them at all.

I don't agree that we get a good return on our taxes. Concord is lazy, Stargates were built when minerals were cheap. They run without maintenance and while the police troll around constantly, nothing stops the hoodlums from hanging out on corner gates.

So this isn't working well in old age and I just think they need to put us on the dol. My kids on the dol, I sent him to faction Warfare hoping he would send some money to keep his poor grandmother comfortable. No, instead its the other way around. All the time is, MOM , I need more ISK for ships and he never sends nothing home.

Same with my ex-husband. HIs old tired excuse is that the corps and alliances take up all he makes with high tool prices and whenever he gets about ready to get even... They call for a corp or Alliance day. Now that the kids out of the house he doesn't seem to care.

What is this world coming to?

Train your trade skills, noob.

Accounting:

Proficiency at squaring away the odds and ends of business transactions, keeping the check books tight. Each level of skill reduces transaction tax by 10%.

Broker Relations:

Proficiency at driving down market-related costs. Each level of skill grants a 5% reduction in the costs associated with setting up a market order, which usually come to 1% of the order's total value. This can be further influenced by the player's standing towards the owner of the station where the order is entered.

No one in New Eden is tasked with protecting yer aging butt. If you didn't plan for your own retirement, you've got no one to blame but yourself.

Git yer bunions back to the grind, Gramps!

At what age would an immortal retire?

At roughly 85% of forever. Give or take a few percent, depending on how solvent the trust fund might be.

Capsuleers are the upper 0.000000000001% of a galactic society. This goes beyond "first world problems."

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

All your taxes have been squandered on subprime insurance policies and their inevitable payouts, rendering any and all SCC pensions worthless.

Really? you think you're overtaxed in EVE?
Do you live in Monaco or something?

Taxes you pay to your corporation aside (if that isn't being spent appropriately then you should take it up with the directors) Capsuleers lose tiny fractions of their income compared to the rest of us. Broker fees and sales taxes are nothing compared to VAT for example.
