Mining Change Proposal

I say yes to ANY idea that could potentially kill off multi-box AFK bot-mining.

Rates of miner throughput could be tweaked after the change to ensure balance once the dust settles.

A single player who mines with multiple ships should be engaged in the mining activity; not asleep at the wheel.

Crime, it is not a "career", it is a lifestyle.

Yeah, not trying to be the champion for this idea so much, but I do think it offers a better rounded solution than some others I saw.

The OP is not killing off the somnolent approach, loved by the multiboxers so well.
He is simply offering those wishing a more involved and effort centric approach a path so they can get higher yields without creating a parking lot of clones, which dumbs down play for anyone unable to duplicate said multiboxing technique.

NOTE: I am not condemning multi-boxing offhand, but if it is the only practical path for higher yields, then it effectively becomes a path only available to those who can pay for hardware capable of running multiple clients.
Many of us can't afford that, and being cut off from success by our real life finances is against why many of us play EVE in the first place. To escape real life issues in the game.

I agree that this is not a perfect solution. But I have seen no less than 5 good ideas that would stop the AFK mining (most involved mini-games).

It is worth the pain.
