CCP devs/employees are leaving CCP at an alarming rate! Some of the oldest and most popular devs have gone over to riot games, or simply just moved on.

Combine this with no future plans from CCP about Eve even being announced, failure to fix issues that have lasted for years, and CCP's recent "Cashout" policy of allowing everything for plex, and first dual, then triple char training.

What does this add up to?

Eve is a sinking boat, the rats are running, and those that are left are grabbing for whatever they can before the ship goes down.

So the question is:
How long before CCP announces the closure of the Eve online server?

Future plans/projects by CCP have been informed to the CSM, but not to us since they are still under NDA (read the minutes of the last meeting).

So CSM minutes said "secret project" that means nothing, shutting down could be the secret.

How are they rumors when the devs in question confirmed it on their twitter?

And if you can't be arsed to keep up with reality, developers leave companies all the time.

I will say this for Riot though, their DOTA clone is probably the best half-eaten banana available.

Riot games can pay far more than CCP games can, its not really that difficult to figure out why they are leaving iceland :)

See, I thought developers were contractually obligated to work for one company their whole lives.

This information is stunning and Previously Unknown™ to us.

And just look at all the deep industry insider information we're getting in this thread. EA... Riot... you guys should start your own version of People magazine, only instead of celebrities and politicians, you could fill it with articles about people no one gives a **** about. Provided how's the winter up there in Iceland, and as Riot Games is at Santa Monica of all places, you bet that salary is a relative issue. Further, CCP always has paid below standard salaries, which they compensate with things like the free cantina, something worthy in a place where food is expensive.
