What are trade goods for?

Over my time in game, I've acquired several items that fall under the "Trade Goods" category (Radioactive Waste, Carbon, Freed Slaves, Freedom Fighters, etc). What exactly are these for, other than filling up a container in my station?

Thanks,

Tat

A basic source to start trading.

And as you said, collector's items

(some people will only fly with Exotic Dancers in their hold).

Some of them you can keep and turn in for mission runs. Completed w/o ever leaving the station.
Others, some people keep a few in their cargo when expecting to be cargo/ship scanned.

They're generic items, like grey loot of sorts. Other than that NPC buy/sell orders can differ between locations/regions so you might be able to make some cash there (in the past this was done to silly extremes using freighters and titans) but realistically your profit per effort/volume is terrible. If you want to start trading you're probably best off focusing on ship modules and the likes.

Little Helpers are better than Exotic Dancers. They're little, so they don't take up much room or eat much, and they help. Exotic Dancers aren't so good, they need all that room in the hold for dancing and stuff. The worst dancers to have are the bootscooters. All those mullets, together in one place. It's a crime against fashion and good taste. Little Helpers FTW!

Personally I tend to use Janitors

Who else keeps the ships clean...I"m to busy screaming and shooting stuff.

This is my fedo. There are many fedos like it, but this one is mine.

There really aren't many uses for trade goods beyond roleplay, minor trading, and just being small useless trinkets.
