Hello,

So I've been in hisec lately harassin some missionrunners. I stole a mission item from a can, and dropped it a can of my own expecting the missionrunner to get flagged if he took the item back. My can was somehow blue though and he wasnt flagged.

I haven't been able to find anything on this in the evelopedia, but something must have changed while ive been away. Can anyone explain why he wasnt flagged for taking from my can?

When you opened his can you got a suspect flag, I think you have to wait for that to wear off then drop a can.

Of course you could also just try to ransom the item to him.

If you got a suspect/criminal flag your cans can be picked up by anyone.

Just find a mission runner using aggressive drones and a mobile tractor unit. Then you won't have to take his stuff, just shoot the MTU to get suspect. His drones will aggress you, and he will get flagged to you.

When you can be legally attacked by someone, he can always take from your cans and vice versa, without any sort of additional flagging happening. This includes the suspect case where you can get attacked by everbody.

You might want to join me, as other seem to be incapable of helping you.

Make sure you are within the idiot's drone control range, and ideally if they are using mobile drones (ie not sentries) you are within a few kilometres of their drones. Ideally you are also within warp scramble range of the idiot too, but that's less important as they usually won't realise they have given you an LE until you lock them.

It's embarrassing to try to do this to someone only to realise that their Ishtar was 83km away from you when you shot the MTU and they have a drone control range of 77km.

CCP nerfed can flipping by making any cans jettisoned by suspect flagged players takeable by anyone (in addition to other nerfs for the poor little bears...).

This was blatant carebear-love and continuance of CCP's road to hisec nerfdom, because they merely could have just used the shiny new safety switch to prevent a bear from looting himself into suspect status. But noooo....

There is hope though! There is no nerf for stupidity....

What you need to do is just keep stealing all their ****, shoot their tractor units and salvage their wrecks using salvage drones...while patiently waiting for them to get annoyed enough to shoot at you first. Then its party time (tm).
