Goonswarm are the most hated entity in EVE ONLINE. There are many people in this game who would probably kill you just for being in Goonswarm, or at least spit you in the face because of it. You don't see these coming to fanfest to do it, though, because that's an actual dangerous thing to do and these people are either cowards or for some other reason incapable of achieving what they want. These people hate you for what you represent and not for what or who you are. They suffer from the fact that you influence their lifes and they can not do anything about it. They suffer from the fact that you represent someone who actually gets recognition, while they get none. They have one or more reasons why their lives are ****** and are mad about those people whos lives aren't. They are mad about those who are better than them and hide that behind a high nose or don't hide it at all and just project their hatred against themselves onto you.


That's a short summary.


People with hatred against goonswarm, even just this silly display of it, isn't "just as weird as you and me".

I actually like goons and would join them if possible. Had the opportunity when WI smooched corp and joined, just didn't at that time as other things were going on.

I doubt any people you see outside in the real world would have any idea what goonswarm is.

Those who are not involved into gaming have no idea. However those who do play the same games the goons play ... Well let's just say a minority is aware of their existence. Not much but at least they know about them if you were to ask.

It's pretty easy really. Just join SA (best 10bux you'll ever spend on anything, ever) & post in the EVE thread about how much you're looking forward to joining Goonwaffe. Make sure you go in to detail about how well you'll fit in & what you can bring to the corporation. After that you go through the recruitment steps & if auth likes your post, they will press accept.

SA is a much bigger community. Goonwaffe in EVE is only a small portion of it. There are also SA members who play EVE but aren't in Goonwaffe. And then there's the majority of Goonswarm Federation members who aren't in Goonwaffe nor are they members of SA (e.g. me).
