This is about the only part of the story that would matter to me. Screwing someone who you have a long track record of business with should effect your reputation going forward. That said, X says it was only the 3rd item of business between them, and that claim has gone unrefuted. Given this is Eve we are talking about, absent some other factor to the contrary, I would totally expect someone I had only had one sucsessful contract with to screw me given the opportunity, as I would to them, and certainly wouldn't hold it against X here.

Imho both of the opposite sides of this deal have acted bad.

The only consequence is that the OP will now be considered an unprofessional individual who can't stand and adsorb his own mistakes, the accused person is evidently smart and a person who knows how to take care of his interest but not somebody to trust for a "beyond pure, cold business" partnership.

Bad story, both imo end up losing: one the money, the other the karma.


But as I said in other threads: "the rich met the experienced. The rich left with experience, the experienced left rich".
