At random times a crippling UI error occurs in which all my windows dissappear and begin spazzing out, occasionally some graphical glitches will occur as well.

This glitch has nearly gotten me killed a number of times.

I am having the same problem. I notice that when I try to open the EVE menu (the one on the upper left) the client freezes for a second and then the UI comes back again. But sometimes the client just crash.

So if you could list your system specs that may help solve some questions.

As for a fix without knowing what system specs you got, try turning off Anti Aliasing and HDR. Also, you may try switching between full screen, windowed, and windowed borderless. It may fix it. So try to post those system specs for us if none of that worked.

If you need to figure out what you have on your system you can go to start, run, and put in Dxdiag then press enter. Then read off the specs from there.

It's not a problem with the system, at most it's an oversight by CCP when they patched, making it incompatible with certain setups, which is unlikely.

I'm wondering if this only happens to players using D11, perhaps CCP introduced a bug if they've begun to try and tweak the D11 implementation.

It may be an issue with DX11 and a certain type of graphics cards. That's why it would be best if the specs are listed. If he were using a laptop with integrated graphics or something like that then it may be an issue.

Thank God! This is the same issue I have been having. Usually it happens when I have several windows open and am writing an eve mail or applying to a corp. Everything freezes and I lose my windows for quite a while.

This is happening to me also and below are my specs

Operating system: windows 8 64-bit
processor: Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHZ (8 CPU's) ~2.4 GHz
Memory: 12288MB RAM
DirectX: DirectX 11
Graphics card is Nvidea 740M

Edit: Its early days but changing to DirectX 9 seems to have helped this problem

That may have been exactly what it was. Sadly Rubicon did introduce DX11 but there has been some issues since the transition. I know that Mumble overlay doesn't work with 11 and you have to start in DX9 to get it to work.

That's good to hear.

So for those that would like to know about how to start in DX9 mode.

Start the launcher.
On the right side there is a circle icon that is a gear, click on it.
Go to the far right tab and select DirectX.
Then go to the drop down that is on there and select DirectX 9.
Save and exit.
Then restart the launcher and play the game.
