Don't engage t1 attack frigates, hookbills, comets, firetails, interceptors, AFs, crucifiers, cormorants, algos or artythrashers. They all eat you alive. Also, don't bring fights to people waiting in plexes.
Keep at range 25k with OH point does a lot for you.

The problem is that it's too slow to keep T1 brawl frigates at bay, too big/slow/low tank to kite cruiser or bigger and will also die to T1 frigates making use of tracking disruptors; A lowly TD executioner, Atron or condor will kill you. The Wolf can really only do two things; "fit MSE and dps" and short range brawler and I'm not even convinced by that last option.

A few things that may help. First, use a limited 1MN Microwarpdrive as it is easier on your cap (T2 MWD is good if you expect to run it for a bit, then shut it off - meta is easier on cap for constant use). Second, carry Tremor so that when you run into a TD frig that wants to kite, you can still hit them. Third, an alternate fit that sacrifices some DPS for extra range and speed:

In the 20-25km range, the DPS loss is mininmal and you get a nice boost to your speed. The fit is really tight, though.
