Question regarding orbital bombardment

Let's talk orbital strikes.

Is there a difference when it comes to weapons? Any performance difference between doing a strike with 3 guns or a strike with 8 guns? And does the size of the weapons matter, are the bombardments more powerful with more and bigger guns?

"Tactical" ammo only exists for small (frigate) guns for now. As for whether the size/type/number of frigate guns matters, I do not know.
