Negotiation description: Skill at agent negotiation. 5% additional pay per skill level for agent missions.

As far as I have been able to find out this is supposed to be ISK, LP and Standing.

Doing the sisters arc together with someone who does not have negotiation has provided a good opportunity for a test.

Me: Negotation 3 (15%)
Other: Negotiation 0 (0%) (knows the skill but has not trained any levels, training stoppet so won't get a level during test)

Agent: Delphine Xarasier
Mission: Studying the Scene

The quest overview offers the following rewards:
Me: Reward 100 000 ISK
Bonus Reward: 66.000 ISK

Other: Reward 100 000 ISK
Bonus Reward: 51 000 ISK

Actual rewards in ISK (from Wallet -> Journal) matches the numbers given in the mission description.

Standing rewards, I am still not 100% how standings work so trying to include details.

From CreoDron,
Me 0.3515 (resulting in 0.03 standing after mission turn in)
Other 0.321 (resulting in 0.03 standing after mission turn in)

So main quest reward did not benefit from Negotiation (or bonus was added to bonus, see below)

Bonus was increased by 15 000 or 29% (or had 15% of the main reward added and was not increased itself)

Standing change was increased by 0.0305 or 9.5%

Will do a LP reward test later.

I was under the impression that Negotiation only affected your ISK reward for the mission. Do you and the "other" character have the same level of Social? That could account for the difference in standings reward. And LP reward should only be affected by Security Connections (or whatever type of mission it is).

Negotiation = isk
Security/etc connections = LP
Social = standings

Havent tested any numbers though, wouldnt be suprised if theres some weird results.

Sorry I have been so slow to come back to this.

To round this off.

Termy Rockling and Zor'katar are correct, Negotiation is only ISK. For other rewards need other skills.

Negotiation only increase the base reward, not the bonus reward. So your actual ISK increase from running missions will be lower than 5% per level of Negotiation.

The added ISK is shown as part of the bonus reward on the mission briefing (ie if the reward is 10000 base + 10000 bonus you will see 10000 + 10500 as your reward with Negotiation I)

*EDIT* Added example of how the reward is shown and then the reason for the edit.

But did you remember the secret handshake?

Edit: Yeah, I don't get it. It looks like it isn't doing what it promised.

When you do a mission there is often 2 ISK rewards. The "base" reward for doing the mission, and a "bonus" reward if you can complete the mission within a certain time.

Negotiation only increase the "base" reward.

The amount of ISK you get from Negotiation is not displayed separately anywhere, it is added to the "bonus" reward.

In the example from post #1 you can see my bonus reward at 66000 is 15000 ISK higher - which is the 15% Negotiation III increased my "base" reward.

Did that make it more clear?

On a side note, that makes me think I need to test if that means you don't get anything at all from Negotiation if you fail to complete the mission within the time given for the bonus reward.
