Merry Crucible and a Happy Patch Day New Eden!

This week in Voices from the Void, we kick things off with “The Night Before Crucible” by Mark 726. Null sec deviancy and Ship spotting abounds in Section 1. Moving on to Section 2, we discuss things heating up in the North and South as well as CCP’s trip to Tama and the possible first death tolls of Morsus Mihi. Then On to CCP News with blogs blogs blogs. Section 3 is biting the dust this week to make for an interesting interview with CarmeloS53 and Cosmic Cowboy of the Armor Incursion Fleet Community.

Dani and Stan are joined by guests Bowdy and Scitor Nantom. Together the four of them review EVE Online’s newest release Crucible and have some casual conversation about the game, things they appreciate, OCD and the new UI, fixes, new player retention and GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINS.

Hi Ary,

I've been catching up on some shows, I've also been gone, and am bummed that you've had pc hassles. Hoping you come back with whatever you have planned ASAP - be it with a podcast or a youtube show. It seems Starfleet Comms has also stopped in protest of internet legislation, something like that. I'm blue because now both you and Penelope aren't around now on audio shows. :( I mean, it's just too bad. Eve needs women to hand out apples. :p

I'll do more shows, but I'm not a podcaster on the scale that you are. I'll probably do five or so more episodes, and then I'll figure out if I carry on or not.

The other podcasts interact with you to some extent, which is nice, since they're such boy's clubs with no women in sight. Hoping you come back quickly to save the day!

Thank you for all of the support and kind words. You’re the best and it’s other podcasters and listeners like you that make doing Voices from the Void so enjoyable. Now that the PC issues are over with* the show is getting right back on track. I will certainly miss Penelope and her dashing cohorts over at Starfleet Comms too. If/when they do come back from their hiatus, they will certainly be more than welcomed. I couldn’t agree with you more, the EVE blogasphere has certainly become more appealing with all of us classy gamer ladies out and about. And say… when are you going to come join us in the WGoE channel? Forget their boys club, we chickies know where the real party is.

I will always encourage others to continue podcasting as long as they enjoy it. It’s so much fun connecting with others through your passions and interests. There are so many interesting people in the EVE Community and all of the podcasts and blogs make the game that much more enjoyable.

Thanks for the positive feedback about the new line up. Marc Scaurus and Bowdy will be sure to keep my hands and the listeners ears full. They are so much fun to cast with and I’m sure they’ll keep my on my toes as well.

PS – As for the CSM… I enjoy my sanity way to much to participate in any of that non-sense. I much prefer commenting from the sidelines.

*I’ll be doing another system rebuild come Spring time to upgrade my motherboard and PCU, but it shouldn’t interfere with the podcast. If anything it should improve the podcast since I’ll be able to upgrade my soundcard and start doing some other fun gaming things as well.
