I too am an industrialist who calls high-sec my home, but I have never heard of you nor from you so please edit your statement to reflect that it is on behalf of you and you alone.

PS: When/If CCp get the ball rolling the high-sec industrialist will be an endangered species as most activities will be moved to null (who are the biggest high-sec customers currently). Start making plans accordingly.

I should know better than expect carebears not to get trolled.

Y'all are ********, if you thought the OP was serious, well... classic carebear response, amirite?

Oh, I assure you, the ideas outlined in my original post are entirely serious, though not entirely original. The purpose of this thread, if anything, is to act as a petition. The real question is whether I think that CCP will ever have the slightest intent to implement those ideas, which I have presented on behalf of the industrial players of EVE online, whom I represent, who are CCP's core customers, due to being the unified majority and the pillar of morality of this game's player base.

We all think that a re-balancing of CONCORD, with with the same focus on realism that was applied to the re-balancing of insurance, would do wonders for this unique and magnificent game.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

Normally I'd be all "here is why you're wrong" and post a well thought out response.

But you know what?

Today, I'm going to just enjoy the schadenfreude.

Those are wonderful suggestions, but I think you are missing a few things.

The consequences on committing a crime should reflect real world as well. In addition to your punishment in jail, you should be forced to reimburse all the damages caused.

If this was implemented along with your suggestions, I would vote for them Smile

Whoa one change at a time lady this is one of those wait and see what happen sorta changes.

And next off the reason why Concord ships are so effing effective against pod pilot ships and not empire ships (as the minmatar kicked thier rear ends) is that Concord has Pod Jammers. Which basically disconnects capsuleers from thier ships. If you managed to break past that Concord intervention jammers they would hijack your clone and make sure you next transfer never happens.

The only reason why concord exists was to really ensure the peace between the four empires, and protect the empires from US, which is why we are allowed to war declare each other as its oddly a means of control. As long as capsuleeers are willing to kill each other they wouldnt bother fighitng empires.

Sure, as long as CCP also implements the ability to launder the money earned from criminal deeds, so that when damages are awarded, they come from someone who outwardly can't afford to pay them. Whether it makes sense to waste lawyer money going after someone who just declared bankruptcy is up for the victim to decide. Oh right, we'll need to implement lawyers too. And how about a bail system for the jails, where my friends can pay for my release, enabling me to immediately tail it out, and then get the bail money back through corruption funneling. Sounds good? We can even add high-profile CONCORD officer assassinations and family kidnappings.

Possibly, however the chance to go around the system should depend on system security status, with 1.0 being impossible and 0.5 being possible, if you're rich and powerful (but event them it doesn't always help).

Forgot to add, the attempts to launder money, bribe officials and so on, if failed, should also land you and everyone involved in jail as well.
