My EVE

So I have just purchased my first tengu for running combat sites in my corps home WH. I finally made the move from my trusty drake because I couldn't solo sites in it. So today I log on and no one is online so I figure I will take it out to solo my first site. I prop a alt on our static and get to work. I was down to my last sleeper when dscan shows me combat probes. I warp out and refresh my anoms and see a new sig. I switch to my alt and see the target jump into L'S with a covert ops ship. So I decide to quickly scan the new incoming WH and set a warp bubble in line with the LS. I chose to camp inside the bubble with my combat buzzard (bad move on my part). I also dropped my scan probes inside the bubble to help with the decloaking. This all worked perfectly. Locked and tackled the covert ship and I would have had him but then the wh fired five times. I didn't bother to look. I was hoping to kill the covert frig. Two vexors and a scorp killed me before I could get him. I warped away with my pod. Now this was my first solo combat experience, but even I know not to use combat probes when you enter a fresh wh. They easily could have taken out my tengu. They tried taunting me in local to bring it out but I said that it gets spooked into hangar by combat probes. Their scout was getting spanked for his newb mistake. Pretty fun exchange of events though. Two would be ganks and then one successful. Fun stuff.
